What you need to do is look back & see how many of the ones gloating actually made the correct prediction. If you insist on fighting these people be smart about it. They were quick enough to drag up your old threads.

Alternatively don't worry too much about it unless you have a real personal affiliation with the opposing fighter. I am a boxing fan first & generally watch for the spectacle. I dont like the way there seems to be a football style, tribal following of fighters coming into the sport.

 

Okay, so use that fury to try & educate them in a smart way. I've noticed too many discussions on this forum deteriorate into childish slanging matches. You obviously feel passionately about the sport which is good. When someone makes an outlandish, unfounded comment try ro resist the temptation to simply abuse them. Instead calmly inform them of how they are wrong & where possible quote citation that way they have no comeback besides childish abuse which will instantaneously give you the moral high ground.

 

I never said I knew more then you but Ive been better at picking fights then you, even non Floyd fights.


So obviously I have something going for me. And yes Ive asked for help in the TRAINING forum. I dont rememer asking help for anything in ring did I?

 

I just know in the old Kirks ESB Fight Prediction I was a champion for quite awhile you never got passed the starting rank.

I understand your frustration but, unfortunately, it is unlikely you will change these peoples attitudes. We have a term in England you may be familiar with "glory hunter". You get football/soccer fans who suddenly start supporting a succesful team whilst claiming to have always been a follower. I think a lot of PBF fans are the same. Don't get me wrong I think Floyd is a fine boxer & a superb athlete but I am not a fan particularly.

Some people like to be associated with success, no matter how remote, because they feel it gives them something in the way of reflected glory. It's a bit sad really but when you consider most of these people even can't converse on a remotely intellectual level I prefer to laugh at them rather than allow them to frustrate me.
