he should go back with Terry mcOrmack,he now has Arthur back aswell,it would be good sparring for him.He also guided Arthur through his brit title days aswell..slo he is more than experienced

yeah underdogg2, knock it on the head, irish fans are known for cheering their own fighter, cheering his punches and not booing the other. esp in a fight and not something way more subjective like a football match or rugby etc. if appleby gos out and knocks tha bollocks outa martin well fair ****s to the man, im sure martin will have the balls to look him in the eye and shake his hand after.

all he wants is someone to take him up on a straight one on one bet on betfair, could have been a bita craic leadin up to the fight

your right in what your saying about the normal irish fight fan...but this will be a far different crowd...ffs this is lindsays family,friends, next door neighbours the west belfast community your talking about here...the only place you have been able to buy a ticket has been directly of lindsay and his family[except for the few that were allocated to appleby and his fans] i expect a hostile reception for appleby...and i can seriously see some of the jocks getting thumped if they get too loud and lipy...saying that i hope nothing like that happens but its highly likely

Lindsay's fans will be hostile but if Appleby ends up giving him a licking then he'll be well applauded afterwards. Infact Appleby will probably get a good reception after(but not before or during) the fight once he fights a good fight, win or lose.

Underdogg2 I know you're trying to goad Scottish fans into betting against you, and from your perception you'll make more money from this. But there's way to go about things and you're not going the right way.


Can't wait for this now a real 50/50 fight and I think if could turn into(a somewhat scrappy) war. I think anyone expecting one fighter to totally dominate should probably think again, this one has got 12 round war or maybe late stoppage in a close fight written all over it.

I really hope Martin can pull through, there's big opportunities out there for him if he does, but I do like Appleby and his attitude quite a bit too and I won't begrudge him his way if he manages to come to Belfast and pull it off in Lindsay's back yard. I had predicted Appleby to just edge it on workrate and aggression a few months back but I'm gonna change that to Lindsay SD now.......you know what I don't have a clue, buzzing for this :happy

 

here mate...i hope your right ....but im from west belfast and your not...trust me things could get messy here...if ****wits like dunkin start singing o flower of scotland or get a tad over excited, anything is possible...i will at at the fight and hope nothing happens, but you never know...one thing for sure it will be an exciting fight

 

The fans most definitely will sing Flower o Scotland at some point just the same as they do at any fight supporting a scottish fighter if thats enough to **** off opposite fans and make them want to start trouble I hope they are singled out, charged and banned from future events. This is boxing, not football.

Well to my surprise the judges in the Simeone Maludrottu v Damaen Kelly I fight got out alive and without any hassle, and I really was expecting trouble after that but there was none.

So considering that I reckon things will be okay.
I don't think Flower of Scotland would get people too riled up, another anthem certainly might though.

 

Appleby Does him :bbbim a betting man, and il take this bet, 100 poercent confident appleby does him.

As for the hood from west belfast running his mouth about trouble STFU and dont talk shite, their will be no trouble, the irish fans aint like that, and they certantly dont have any problem with scottish people, or the flower of scotland.
