Apps, it was good to hear Paul on the Bunce show. Is there any chance we will see him on the show in the flesh for a proper interview?

Perhaps he can take his belt along after he retains it in Belfast

Bunce is definitely a fan of Pauls (he's said it more than a few times) im sure if Paul was to go on the show Steve would be delighted. An email to steve would likely seal the deal imo and the fans would love it too.:happy:happy

 

Cut all this bollocks about trouble from the Lindsay supporters. Some of the posts portray the Lindsay fans as nothing but thugs which is untrue and unfair! Belfast has one of the most knowledgeable boxing crowds about, everyone is looking forward to a good fight, may the best man win!!

Well, I must say Im pretty astounded as to the direction this thread has taken, with people even talking about me starting trouble by singing the scottish national anthem!!!
I will need to have one loud ****er of a voice, as I will be sitting in front of a TV set in Glasgow... but i will bear it in mind & try not to sing too loud, incase it all 'kicks off' over the sea
Crazy stuff, especially as the Irish fans are renowned for being one of the most respectful & knowledgable crowds out there.

I agree & disagree with your post, knuckle.

I disagree that paul has a stamina problem in tough fights, his war with Simpson & the Pickering fight proved that Paul has the natural talent, toughness & fitness to do the distance. Its that early, invaluable training with Roach that has helped Paul so early in his career, if you ask me. If only chuckles had styed over there...

However, I think he needs a better trainer to take him to the 'next level' Burns style, & i would be delighted to see Billy Nelson get his hands on Appleby.
McGuire snr I have no faith in at all. Its Applebys natural talent thats got him where hes at just now, but the sooner he gets a better trainer the better. IMHO of course.

 

its offical the ulster hall is sold out for saturday nights fight...this is a fight i have been looking forward to for a long time...one thing for sure whoever wins win go on to bigger and better things than the british title...heres hoping for a belfast win
