Yes let's hate on the man for something that hasnt even happened. That is just ridiculous. Look I'm no big time Haye supporter or Klitschko supporter. I try to be as objective as possible, I just happen to see the logic behing what Haye is doing.

If after he beats Valuev he fights a chump, I'll gladly let you **** all over him, but getting mad at him for doing something to increase his pull at the bargaining table is ridiculous. I havent seen the contracts of course, and likely never will but from what I've read on here he was getting **** on by the Klitschkos, which is bull****.

If the contract was such a farce, why did David sign it then?? Nobody put a gun to his head. And maybe you're not informed, but Haye ASKED for the 2 rematch clauses against the brothers, and was given it.

Second, you're right Chef nor anyone else from Wlad's team said Haye ducked or lied officially, but they also were not able to confirm Haye ever had an injury as his camp never provided proof. This gives pretty strong reason to believe he ducked/lied because he was going to lose the Setanta money. However Chef stated several times here that Haye could have been able to arrange something with Wlad if he just layed his cards on the table and acted a professional about it. You're right, we'll probably never know the truth.

Also, you're right that no one knows for sure the details of the Vitali/Haye deal. I feel though it was extremely similar to the Wlad/Haye, since K2 secured the 55k seat Commerzbank Arena, and has the RTL/HBO backing and Haye is bringing nothing to the table again except for loud words. For all we know Haye got pissy because at the last minute K2 wouldn't give him a 30 foot ring for him to run around in or something ridiculous.

I think Haye jumping ship and going to fight Valuev is a bad move. Fighting Valuev in some small 15k seat ice arena in Germany is not going to mean that much money for him. Sauerland is tied to ARD for televising the fight in Germany and I'm sure Haye will see very little of that money. Promoting the fight will be nothing like if he was fighting one of the Klitschkos because Valuev is as boring as can be, inside and out of the ring. IMO Valuev shouldn't even be a title holder after he ducked out of fighting Chagaev, and his #1 contender Kali Meehan...but thats another topic.

Even if Haye wins against Valuev, it doesn't give him much leverage against a Klitschko. The WBA strap is worthless at this point, and if he picks it up you can be sure Don King is going to have rights on him and not let him anywhere near a Klitschko. DK has a tiny sliver the of the heavyweight picture and he doesn't want to lose it, especially to a Klitschko (Karma's a ***** isn't it Don? LOL) He'll parade him around and line up Ruiz, Meehan and Holyfield to keep him busy. I think it's laughable that David thinks that having the WBA strap puts him on level ground. And I'm not so sure he can pull it off anyway, even as much as I hate Valuev.

    @mrboogie

I am just mildly aggravated from Hayes con move, that was to be expected. It's the british bull**** spinner unified front that gets me cycling. I need a button on my desk I can just drown them in **** with, that would really help me a lot.

I feel you, its hard to sift thru all the bull**** and find people that are genuinely objective about boxing. Some people love to sack swing.

Why do people call Haye a coward? He is one of very few fighters left in boxing who actualy want to fight the best. Surely you have to take your hat off to him for going straight after Wlad, he even took a crazy deal that he had to fight Vitali after knocking Wlad out. Then unfortunately he got injured. But he went straight back in with the big boys by fighting Valuev.

He doesn't want to fight the best, he wants cash. That "crazy deal" you mention, is what Haye/Booth asked for! He never provided proof of that alleged injury either, to anyone.

You think going up against Valuev is fighting the best? You don't know that much about boxing.

Haye had the 2 best heavyweights in front of him ready to fight, he ducked out both times!

It's really getting hilarious watching the Hayelords try to spin things to avoid shame, only to succeed in bringing more on.

Your all moaning he doesnt deserve his shot and now he's doing it the way he should he's ducking?

Wlad will get whats coming to him.

Btw im not a Haye nuthugger, he would have done **** all in a better era as well. The klits are so overrated its untrue

You hit the nail on the head, but you should catch a lot of grief over it, I imagine.

    hmm, let's see, maybe because

    - fights top-rated fighters WHO WANT to fight him too
    - always in shape as a athlete
    - improves as a boxer constantly
    - overcame his own losses decently
    - supports younger boxers as a promoter
    - good businessman
    - smart and open-minded guy
    - promote himself well, as in sport as in bohema and social activities
    - gentleman (at least was until Haye appeared  )

    not enough?

    Yes.

But if he waits and waits until Vitali or Wlad are old and well past their best, then no.
