To barely loss a round to Clottey at welter is a great performance by Pacquiao

    Agreed.

Clottey is/was regarded as one of the best five welters in the world. For anyone to dominate him so thoroughly is very impressive.

More proof, if any was needed, that Pacquiao is a very special fighter.

It's cool of you to acknowledge the performance.

I kind of agree about Clottey. OK he beat Judah, but there does seem to be something missing from him in big fights.

Still, it was the manner of victory that impressed me more than the name-recognition. At no point did Pac look like he was physically outgunned by Clottey, and that takes some doing for a guy who was at 130 two years ago.

Stylistically Clottey can't matchup with Pac. Before the fight I knew Pac's offense and speed would overwhelm Clottey because he shells up too much. So of course Pac beat Clottey easier than Cotto did.

And Floyd dominated JMM, so I guess he will dominate Manny as well, or does that argument only work in your favour?

Would Floyd shell up too much as well, when Pac drives him back with speed and offence?? :D

    Hope we find out soon....

I like to give credit when it's due. Great performance he dominated Clottey like no one ever has.

Im not making comparisons. The outcome of this fight was easily predictable based on Clottey's style. I've been saying all along that Clottey would be hard pressed to win based on style alone.

"Easier than Cotto did" is a bit of an understatement, isn't it? He utterly dominated him in a one sided thrashing. .

    Calm down dear, I wasn't saying that A beat B and B beat C so A beats C, that wasn't my point.

I'm just saying that Pac's win over a top 5 welter was more dominant than those 2 good welter wins, so it doesn't deserve the criticism some on here are chucking his way.

Yes he shut him out. I didn't even give Clottey one round and I was looking to give him rounds.
