To barely loss a round to Clottey at welter is a great performance by Pacquiao

Pacquiao did everything he can to make that fight entertaining.

And he also easily beat a guy like nobody did before.
    just like he did with...hatton...odlh...cotto...
    But you know...Manny is a bum...you know.

I don't recall anyone calling Manny a "bum." In fact, it has generally been high praise for the outting.

The only criticism of the bout has been volleyed at Clottey for his seeming lack of desire to win.

I was actually expecting Pac to lose 2-4 late rounds. Him winning 11 or 12 rounds was a good outing.

Clottey got him a couple of times pretty well but some of that in my opinion was intentional as it was the only way he would open up. Pac was willing to eat 1 or 2 punches in order to get Clottey to commit to a longer combo so he can hit him in the face.

Clottey is actually offensively talented enough - he just has a mental block. If you watch his fights, that is just the way it is. You push him hard enough, he turtles. He got pushed really hard for 12 rounds.

My personal criticism is that putting the P4P #1 fighter in the world against a guy whose claim to fame is an ability to lose fights on low workrate and lack of killer instinct is pretty pointless.

My criticism isn't that Pac looked bad. He looked sensational. But he always looks sensational. I'd rather watch him look sensational against guys who actually have a chance to win. You'd have to be a fool to think Clottey had a chance to win this fight based on his previous performances. That he looked worse than against Margarito isn't surprising since Pac is better than Margarito, clearly.

before pacs last 4 fights, there has been a very vocal group always claiming how this is the fight that is going to expose the overhyped fraud. manny then proceeds to beat them like theyve never been in a ring before and all of a sudden the frickin bums are cowards and old and shop worn and paid off and drained and just looking for a paycheck and just there to survive and way past their prime and class b and not black and slick enough and paid off by arum etc...
manny doesnt just beat the guys that logic says he shouldnt even be good enough to compete against. he humiliates them, outclasses them, pummels them and then leaves them muttering what a great great fighter pac is.

Really? Then why hasn't Clottey lost convincingly before? 1 DQ to Baldomir, close SD to Cotto, and come from behind win by Margarito after breaking his hand. Why couldn't Judah beat him?

    Just admit it.

Jacory's ESB guidelines: Discredit everything Pac does in the name and honor of Floyd Pretty Boy Mayweather and his dick.

    I'm fine with that.
    PAcquiao-Mayweather fell off.
    They made Pacquiao-Clottey.
Was Clottey considered a top WW? Yes.
Was he easily beat by a guy that was fighting at 130 2 years ago? Yes.

Do you mean that because Pacquiao is too good, he shouldn't be fighting anyone he is supposed to beat?

I agree with you that there was some better fights to be made.
I still think a name like Clottey (and the way Pacquiao beat him) looks pretty good on a resume.

It was an amazing achievement, he's becoming more dominant than any of the natural WW around.

There was a very vocal group claiming that Pac would beat Clottey easily because Clottey was going to give the whole fight away with his inactivity. Almost no one picked Clottey to win this one. Both the Vegas odds and polls on this site bear that out.

People are saying the same thing now that they were saying before the fight. That Pac/Clottey was meaningless and the outcome obvious.

Having said that beating Clottey at Welter is a better win than JMM at Welter.

Thats the truth. And Floyd still had to come in over weight.

So the PBF fans can ***** all they want.
