No lucky punch, from the early start AJ was looking panicked and in trouble And he was completely outgunned during the 4 rounds, totally different from Ruiz AJ never win the rematch, he is done
If he doesn't land that overhand in the last 10 seconds of R1 its essentially just a feel out round... after that knockdown it was night over.
We will now have some serious revisionism as always happens. 'Aj is shot/too old/was injured' whatever. Bottom line is AJ was game as a lion there, most respected boxing pundits have been proclaiming him as 'the best AJ' since Usyk 2, and almost everyone picked him to win. Let's have it right, Dubois battered him. He was quicker, better feet, better jab, outmuscled and out punched AJ. Pure and simple this was a demolition job. Dubois is improving exponentially and other than Usyk, his last three wins are better than any other man in the division. Parker rivals him on quality of opponent but he went life and death with Zhang. Dan has steamrollered three of the biggest names and three who were perceived as amongst the most dangerous in the division. It will be intersting to see how far he can go, but it's gonna be exciting. He's not even 30.
Dubois was still winning the round and looked dangerous. That one punch had a big effect and I get the feeling if he didn't land it in the first round, he would have done in the second. Dubois was hungry and there to win, something AJ hasn't come across since Usyk.
Dubois aggression was crazy. He was brave to go at AJ like that. I don't know why AJ was getting caught so easily and backing up like that hands down. I have to go back and see how defended in other fights. It was bizarre. Dubois wasn't doing anything tricky, just going forward throwing bombs.
Turns out AJ was taylor-made for DDD. Styles make fights. Tall stiff fighters with suspect chins. Expect DDD to take them apart
Yeah it was a Foreman/Frazier type of beat down just drawn out longer. Shocking to see a fighter of his calibre so easily dominated and taken out.
Yeah Don Charles seems to turning him into a bigger version of Chisora, only with way more power, and better fundamentals. The counter KO was impressive and wasn't a fluke and he landed the same counter just a moment before only the second time he landed flush.
That KO was the most embarrassing KO loss I have ever seen. Him getting KOed with a left jab, lying there face buried to the ring for minutes, and then failing to stand up. He should go to hiding for 1 year.
Yeah exactly AJ looked uncomfortable and was directly on the backdoor. Expect the same for the rematch But it's boxing and everything can happen
