He can try to do it, but Khan is light years inferior to prime (or even near prime) Pacquiao, and Canelo is better than that version of De La Hoya.

While I agree that movement would be key, keeping Canelo constantly out of position, Khan won't be able to pull it off.

Khan looked awful in his last fight, he'd forgotten everything Hill had taught him and went back to is old ways. Khan loves to instigate an attack, he doesn't have the patience to move and counter, Canelo will just have to be patient and wait for Khan to come to him and when he inevitably does it's only a matter of time before Canelo sparks him out.

 

The Pacquiao blueprint would call for Canelo to be so drained that on fight night, he weighs 2lbs less than Khan.

Remember DLH killed himself getting down to 147. Pacquaio outweighed him 148 to 146. Not what people expected when tbey made their predictions.

Pac was a featherweight and came up weights to beat down those guys

 

Canelo is MUCH better than than that mummified version of DLH. Not that Pac didn't look great. But, it was just target practice. Khan can only wish and pray that Canelo comes in half as a shot as DLH was. Not happening. Canelo will be a beast, at a comfortable weight, and he is gonna find Khan, who won't have the discipline to stay behind his jab and turn him all night.

OK. That's not the point though, sir. Those were impressive performances, but, that is off the topic. Khan possibly using the blueprint Pac used vs DLH in his fight with Canelo is what the discussion is about. What are your opinions on that?
