    Can Pac do that?

I've seen nearly every fight and not one fighter has stopped Hatton from constantly getting on the inside.

Mayweather beat him with the help of the referee and with sly tactics on the inside, so he done most of his early damage by beating Hatton where Hatton is best and then picking him off later. This is what it takes, you have to be able to beat him on the inside to get the job done.

Collazo done damage, because he was stronger than Hatton up close.

All the LWW's have just been dominated by Hatton, none of them had the strength to compete with Hatton.

People can talk about Pac's left hand, but it won't stop Hatton getting on the inside and when he does, is Pac good enough to compete there?

The only way I can see Pac winning is if we see another Cortez esque performance.

I don't think Hatton has faced enough top notch competition between Tszyu and Mayweather to be sure. He certainly hasn't faced anybody like Pacquiao, and the reverse is also true.

it will be a close fight. if Hatton doesnt KO he'll lose this fight. your not gonna outbox Pacquaio for 12 rounds. Hatton has the power to KO Pacquaio though

    Morales did.
    Marquez arguably did twice.

    What an awful post.

The way to beat Hatton is to do precisely the opposite, as Mayweather showed, you have to be a top-class counter puncher with precise shots.

Your not going to outsmuscle Hatton on the inside.

Morales did but it was a close fight and Pacquaio was one handed back then. and the last time I seen Marquez has got a lost and a draw against Pacquaio. Hatton is not gonna outbox Pacquaio for 12 rounds....NO WAY IN HELL!!

Absolute no thought went into that first post.

Mayweather laid out the blue-print, not many fighters are good enough to do that, sure as hell Pacquiao aint.

Nobody at 140 is beating Hatton right up-close on the inside. You can't beat him there.

First post so please be gentle!

In my opinion I think they both have the ability to ko each other. Pacman's tactics will be fairly obvious to work out. He will try and stay on the outside and use his footwork and speed to get his punches in and get back out. I think his left straight will be an important punch and he will try and use that to catch Hatton coming in. IF Hatton can slip the jabs before Pacman gets to throw his left straight then i think Hatton will be able to land his money shot, left hook to the body and this will invariably slow Pacman down. Then it will be a matter of Hatton trying to wear him down and smother Pacman's punches.

This fight can go eitherway but i do think there's a very good chance that we will get a stoppage around the mid to late rounds. In my personal opinion i think Hatton will win because i think he will be able to use his strength at 140lbs and land his body punches and out work Pacman to a late TKO or on points. However, I obviously wouldn't be surprised if Pacman catches Hatton coming in and getting a mid to late ko. I think this fight hinges on whether Hatton can slip Pacman's punches and get inside, in my opinion i think he will be able to.

morales and marquez are boxer puncher.. hatton is the other hand is a straight brawler.. big difference :-(

morales beat pacman when he was one dimensional.. now he is much better than when he lost to morales. Marquez is a counter puncher...hatton is sadly not a counter puncher and is facing a much improved pacman, morales fought in 2005 :good

Just hold and hit behind the head, throw elbows and headbutts when inside and pray Joe Cortez is not the ref. That is how you can beat Hatton.

Anyone can be outboxed. Pacman can beat Hatton either by outboxing him or outpunching him. I think Pacman stops him. I think Hatton is a very good fighter and I like him, but I think Pacman picked the easiest elite fight he could when he picked Hatton. He does everything better than Ricky. I like Ricky but Pacman is just too high a level.

To beat Hatton you need Joe Cortez as a ref and don't let Hatton hold his opponent so he can't wear them down.
