To beat Hatton, you have to beat him at his own game

Nonsense. Mayweather beat Hatton because he's a better fighter and would beat Hatton 100 times out of 100, given the chance.

I can't believe Hatton fans still complain about sly inside tactics :rofl:rofl

    To beat Hatton you need:

    1)A great chin

    2) A tremendous hook (left or right doesn't matter)

    3) The mental fortitude to acknowledge that you'll take a beating from time to time on the inside and that he WILL committ to a brutal body attack. You will not be able to beat Hatton on the cards because his body work is too aggressive.

    4) Tremendous stamina

    5) Did I mention a great hook?

    6) Hand speed equal to or better than him

    7) A great hook.

Haven't you heard? Hatton has never used sly or rough inside tactics in any of his fights ever! Mayweather should be thrown in prison for his brutal assault pushing off with his forearms.

Let's just put on record that Hatton is a shot fighter.
I want to preempt those crybabies who field excuses
everytime Pac wins. Pac should not be credited for
fighting a washed-up figher. Floyd destroyed him in their last fight.
Hatton fought two bums in Lazcano and Malignaggi.

what do you expect? onourweay is a Hatton hugger with next to no knowledge of the sport.
There are many ways to beat Hatton. Mayweather beat him on the outside and inside for a start. Collazo....what did he do?

I disagree. Pac should play his own game to beat Hatton.
Pac should never fight Hatton in a phone booth. He needs
to keep distance to unleash his jabs and left straights.
This is also his way of defending himself.

For 6 rounds, Hatton was getting on the inside with ease against Mayweather, but Mayweather was beating him there. Now if you don't beat him there in those 6 rounds, then you're 6 rounds down and he isn't going to be chasing the fight and leaving himself to get hooked into the ringpost, you moron.

Mayweather showed that you need to be able to be able to hold your own on the inside and then you can look to beat him on the outside. If you don't do the first part, then Hatton will beat you.

Mayweather certainly showed that a way to discouraging Hatton is to be able to handle yourself on the inside. I don't know if whipped Hatton on in the inside but he did enough there to make Hatton respect him.

Mayweather wasn't beating him on the inside, what ****ing fight were you watching? Everytime Hatton got the inside Cortez broke them up or Mayweather stuck his elbow in Hatton's face.

I'm not agreeing with what you said about Cortez costing Hatton the fight, he was truely out-classed, but Mayweather beat Hatton on the outside, he countered him all night long and then landed a few combinations and stiff punches from mid-range. There's a difference between fighting at mid-range, within punching range, and inside, right up close.

Nobody at 140 can beat Hatton on the inside. He's too skilled there. People will always claim he's too dirty there but it's skill, he's physically strong meaning he can push and bully his opponents around the ring and into positions he wants them to be in order to off-load, he's too good at going to the body, he creates angles and feints on the inside that opens up his opponent and creates the perfect angles to throw shots.

Now on the outside is a different matter, because if you stick and move well you can stop him going to be body or getting on the inside too much, and stylistically if you jab he's not really going to jab back, so you could use that to control the fight, also as he doesn't move his head much. All you have to worry about from that position is the lead right but mainly the left hook, but aslong as you keep the right arm up and don't stay in the same position he's not going to land.
