You can't take anything his team, PBC and Showtime says about him seriously because they're highly disingenuous at the best of times because the objective has never been about being a true legacy fighter and fighting the best. It's been about making as much money as possible by duping the casuals into believing he's a five-time/three-weight world champion wildly popular legend slaying P4P superstar when in reality he's a one-weight champion who has been steadfastly and openly ducking the best since he moved up to the world level and cherrypicking C and D levels and leprechauns from lower divisions. He can sell pretty well by US standards but it's not a scratch on what a true P4P superstar like Clenelo can.

His best win after ten years as a pro and spanning three divisions is still to this day Pedraza which is his only win against a prime legit world champion who was a champion at the weight he fought them at.

The talent and the power is real but it's smoke & mirrors Central. Like I said, he appeals to the urban crowd which Ellerbe has specifically and is open about the fact he has marketed him heavily towards but he's got no charisma or personality, he's not remotely likeable or relatable to the masses, and he's a dwarf who looks like one of those tatt heavy hood lesbians.

I would take their numbers with a pinch of salt. I know how they operate over there inflating ticket 'sales' by handing out thousands of comp tickets and lying about PPV numbers. AJ is a much bigger star than him outside everywhere but the US and I don't consider him close to being a global superstar or the face of boxing.
