Guys, what did you expect ? A brutal KO ? Estrada hasn't been down anytime before. He has fought about 250 rivals and noone could have done it. After this fight I can say that it's not Adamek who's got an iron chin, but it's Estrada. After the same punches that Adamek landed on Estrada, Golota was down and you have to admit Golota's chin is decent.

Also, everyone was talking it's a serious test for Adamek, hasn't he passed it ? It was ment to be a tough and not pretty fight to watch. I'd compare it to Banks bout, but you can't compare Banks' and Estrada's resistance. Keeping the distance calmly and getting the chance when it's possible, quite good footwork. Adamek did it. It was well handled in tactical way, he did that what he was supposed to do. It was ment to be a close fight and it was ! Estrada was better prepared than in Povietkin fight, but Adamek still did it in a good way.

You fight the way your rival let you fight. Estrada's toughness wasn't mentioned as his biggest factor, but it was it tbh. Not his speed! Adamek was faster and was controlling the fight, with his quickness. Few of you guys have pointed stamina problems, I didn't see it. He was throwing punches and moving as alike as in the beginning, maybe a bit slower, but hello .. you probably don't remember Adamek's 12RDS fights, he was always tired equally, deep breathing in breaks is normal isn't it ?

Against Arreola you will see different Adamek, because he can match to few kind of opponents for example Estrada, Banks fight - the calm and consistent one or agressive and exact Cunningham or Golota. It's gon be a tough fight against Arreola, his coach said he won't weight more than 235lbs, hard to imagine, but we will see. All depends on tactic and Adamek with Gmitruk will set it well, I believe.

    greetings,

He's too heavy. He's going about this all the wrong way. He's trying to match his HW rivals for strength and power and he's not going to do that with two 6'8 240lb champions to pass. He'd be better off coming in lighter and trying to maintain his speed. 210 tops.

Nobody can really look good against Estrada, Arreola is an appealing fight i bet it will be a good little scrap

If Adamek weights 210 during the HW fight, then it would be a nonsense to vacate his The Ring title, because its the weight, that he had in the ring, while fighting at CW (in his last fight at CW it was 207). I think that it all is natural and slow process. He added some muscles, now he must steady at this weight and harden these muscles, then he will be faster and the stamina will be better. But it all takes time.

Haye was struggling with the cruiserweight limit aswell, and even he's not coming in at 222 despite being bigger than Adamek. If Tomasz was weighing 207 on fight night for his CW fights, then he should be around a similar figure weighing in for his HW fights. He's bulking up unnecessarily and it's slowing him down in my opinion.

I see your point. Possibly you are right. He looked very good (I mean the speed) when he was 214 (Golota fight). Yesterday he wasnt as quick (but it maybe because of the bacground - slow Golota and fast Estrada). Time will tell

Not he's not. He didnt try to out power and out muscle Estrada. He boxed effectively from the outside keeping his distance. He used his speed and movement to win this fight, as well as the fight with Golota. His power is pretty decent too though anyways. Just because he didnt take out Estrada, doesnt mean he has no pop.

This was only Adameks 2nd fight at HW. And his first fight at 220, and he went the distance.

ok i like adamek, bt u really think he can b a major threat against the klitchko's, haye, povetkin??? i think he will struggle againt arreola,
bt i do agree tht last night could have been a one-off bad fight, bt i was never convinced when i heard him moving to HW

At now only bros are out of range, maybe in 2011 Adamek will be ready. Povetkin, Haye are obviously beatable by Adamek, no doubt about it.

I'd say Haye is beatable, as Haye obviously used weight lifting as a way of moving up. However, I think Povetkin is too good for Adamek. He is a natural heavy, faster, bigger, harder hitting. He had Estrada on ***** street in the tenth round of their fight, if it had been a twelve rounder Estrada would have been out in the eleventh.

U ask, so I answer. I dont know if he is a major treat, but I believe that he will be. He is always prepared to the fight perfectly, co he doesnt take a fight where he doesnt have at least a chance to win. He has only 2 fights at HW, but you have to remeber that he is 2-division world champion. When he was moving up to cruiser, people were talking he is too small. Now its the same, but the difference is that at HW that is much harder to become great fighter, there is better competition. When he fights Arreola, it will be aired on HBO, if Adamek wins against Arreola then I will give him at least chance against champions (against Haye it will be about 50-50). Now we have to wait to 24th April :good

well i agree with u to an extent, not all boxers are like Paquiao or Paul Williams jumping weight divisions, i think we'll just have to wait and see, he needs a gd performance with the win to have me convinced that he can challenge againt the champs,
p.s. against haye, its definately not a 50/50 fight, Adamek is an underdog against him

Read carefully. I wrote, "when he beats Arreola". I think that Arreola is better than anyone who Haye has faced at HW.
