I haven't seen the fight but Estrada is a solid heavyweight so a win for Adamek has to be seen as a good thing.Him outboxing a guy who has Estrada's skillset, handspeed, and amatuer pedigree means Adamek has to be taken serious at heavyweight. The Golota fight was all for show and that had mismatch written all over it but the Estrada fight was a good test and Adamek passed it. A fight with Arreola would be all action and is probably the fight Adamek should go for. I think Arreola beats him up pretty bad but I also though Estrada would outpoint him as well.

Anyone heard the post fight conference with Estrada? Its posted by Rumi on the front page. Estrada is hillarious (insults Teddy Atlas lol, and has a wickedly funny exchange with the press), but its obvious the guy put in the work effort of his life in this fight. Against today's Estrada, Povetkin would have lost. Even against a more motivated JE, Adamek carried more rounds, than Pov. Pov needed to dominate the last 2 rounds to win that fight.

Haye doesn't have Estrada's chin and Estrada is a vastly better opponent than Bonin, for a 2nd HW career fight. Haye has no cred. at HW as of yet.

Well, 60% of all voters picked Adamek by KO in our poll, including You!

Me for example picked Adamek by decision and pretty much got what I expected, maybe it was a bit closer, but hey, it was only Adamek's 2nd fight at the big boys. But the performance only made my Arreola prediction more solid: Cristobal by brutal mid-fight knockout. I see most people picking Adamek in that fight and many by stoppage, but in reality, and I like the kid, Goral doesn't stand a chance. Horrible match-up for Adamek.

Either Estrada's chin is McCall worthy or Adamek's power isnt as effective at HW and Golota should have his bones examined. Arreola should be a good test for that question.

Or Adamek fought an old and shot Golota. Look I think Adamek's win over Golota was better than Haye's over Barrett, but they both fought well past it fighters. The only think that made Adamek's win better was that he looked more effecient and technically sound. However a 230 pound and rusty Povetkin almost took Estrada out, that is not to say Estrada isn't a good fighter (he is very technically skilled and knows how to survive), but he doesn't have a McCall worthy chin and Adamek's power at 200+ won't be what it was at 200.

Dont think so, Povetkin is at least one level above Estrada, just like Adamek is.

Yeah. I thought the estrade fight for goral was too risky this soon, but arreola is a "nightmare" for adamek's style. Tomasz still is very upright for
a guy like arreola, and he won't be out of range like vitaly. I'm sure adamek will do better than minto, but i do expect arreola to catch goral
in about the 8th or 9th unless adamek shows no respect. Either way i have adamek in my top 10 p4p just in his body of work in the last 2 years.

Then why was he losing in the middle of the fight? If you haven't seen that fight i encourage you to do so. Pov struggled against Estrada more than Adamek did. His latter rounds performance masked the struggles he went through for half that fight. Pov needed terrific closing rounds to win it.

I think that against Klitschkos you need to have strong chin too. Otherwise you may finish bad.

I agree that now Adamek shouldnt compete with bros, but in the future, why not. We will see. Let Haye face first the bros, so Adamek will have the easier way (if Haye wins vs Klit). :good

I saw the fight on the stream. If you want to win the fight, you dont have to win every single round. If Povetkin needed to dominate these last rounds and he did it, so its good that he achieved it :good

Bonin, Barrett and Big foot are nothing to brag about. Now he's got a ridiculously easy mandatory in Ruiz. If Adamek faces Arreola and beats him, his HW resume will be head and shoulders above Haye's. Following huggy bear, Haye better be careful about picking a legit challenger.

Ppl seem to forget that estrada took povetkin fight on 3 weeks notice , whereas for adamek he has had 3 months to prepare.
