The Bonin fight came before he continued his dominance at CW plus his current mandatory is not picked by Haye. If we are to give credit for Adamek disposing of Golota, then the same applies with Ruiz. Most people thought Haye would be brushed aside by Valuev including myself and you are failing to give Haye any credit whatsoever whilst lauding Adamek at every opportunity. You have spent a great deal of time today forcing your opinion about a near faultless Adamek win and it all seems too apparent - no offence. :good

Yep, Estrada def. looked more preped in this fight, esp., from the conditioning standpoint. Another big factor is that Povetkin spent years being a HW before facing Estrada. This was only Adamek's 2nd fight at HW and he did no worse than Povetkin.

I give credit to Haye for beating Barrett and for a couple good rounds with Valuev. That about sums up his HW campaign. All im trying to say is that people are fooled by that belt way too easily - Haye is just as unproven at HW as Adamek.

Dude. It's not like Adamek was landing all these clean monster shots. Estrada does a good job of rolling with the punches, and very little to the head landed clean. Estrada has a good chin also, but he doesn't need to have a "McCall-level" chin to have not gone down. Travis Walker, who's a big heavyweight puncher, landed just as many flush shots on Estrada and Estrada didn't get hurt.

Adamek looked good for about 8 rounds, then he gassed out pretty badly. Simple as that. He doesn't have monster power, but who was expecting him to? He didn't seem to lose any of his speed until his stamina started to go. I don't see what everyone's complaining about.

Izoliner, I appreciate that you're an Adamek fan, I like him as a fighter too, but you're very far from impartial in your assessment of this fight.

General forum is ****, there is hardly any balanced posters left, just a bunch of kids and fan boys running around. Adamek wasnt going to KO Estrada, the dude is always on defensive, rolling his shoulder, moving his head, how the hell do you KO him when you cant land clean shots on him, people just dont understand this concept in boxing. Based on styles Adamek has a better of chance of KOing Arreola than this guy.

I would like to see Adamek at 215 tops. Decent performance but he will need more against Haye.

As usual I am supporting the guy 100%, the most exciting Heavyweight in the world. :good

This is very true. Estrada made his name in the amateurs by being a very defensive fighter, and had he not come into the Walker fight weighing 257 he might have very well outboxed Travis. Estrada is a very good technician, just not very powerful, and he does have a decent chin which is enhanced by his elusiveness.

Adamek will land on Arreola a lot more, and might be able to stop the big man.

I gave Adamek a B- on this performance. Care to differ? As far as power punches, Adamek did not land that many but he did tag Estrada with a hammer short right to the side chin, which looked like an identical shot that knocked out Banks. Estrada stood there and smiled and took it well. Estrada's chin is very good and he does roll punches nicely. All the more reason not to trash Adamek's performance.

i also felt it was a mainly good performance vs a tricky operator. i really liked adamek's body punching. and his combo-pivot to the side move is effective. i like it the times he pivoted to the side and then punched, catching estrada unawares with left hooks. it's a shame so few ppl look at nuances like these. i think adamek is still growing into his weight, or perhaps still finding his correct weight, and that the 12 rounds has done him a lot of good.

re the stamina. his stamina did seem to improve at cruiser, between the bell and banks fights somewhere (he seemed tired v bell, but went hard 12 with cunningham). perhaps the same will happen at heavyweight. i believe v estrada: a) the opponent's weight, b) trying to nail an elusive target and c) lugging around extra weight - all had something to do with the fade.

been hearing that they are already advertising arreola v adamek in ontario, CA for late april. main events are trying to get it in newark, NJ. looks like a case of WHERE, not IF or WHEN. can't wait for this. adamek wasn't perfect v estrada, but i believe he'll rise to the challenge v arreola.
