i havent followed vitali his whole career. i seen him vs hide, lewis, williams and every fight since his comeback. plus ive seen him vs byrd and sanders and purrity. my question is this. has any other fighter, bar lewis, really brawled with vitali and had any success? i know sanders had his moments early on, but has anyone else been able to maintain an effective aggressive style vs vitali? or has he pretty much dominated all his early opponents?
Vitali has only lost a handful of rounds in his entire career, brawl or box Lewis did well to take 2 off him, and of course completely tear up his face in the process.
this is the impression i have. i'm kinda hoping their is someone here who has seen all his fights and might no an obscure early name that gave vitali trouble. most prospects have a tough fight early on so it wouldnt surprise me.
a whole shitload of his fights are on youtube. I've never seen him struggle other than Lewis. http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=UBPboxing
he's generally kicked arse all the way. better than wladimir for me. a lot tougher and a better engine. knocking on a bit though. could be 40 by the time he gets haye in the ring.
Dosen't matter how many rounds he won his opponnent quit, a win is a win:deal Byrd didn't ask him to quit, and it's not Byrd's fault he injured his shoulder:nut.. If he was winning every round with the possible exception of 2 he could have fought the rest of the fight with 1 arm.. **** Ali fought Norton with a broken face and klits couldn't fight on with an injured arm??
mabey if he HAD fought the rest of the night with one arm and lets say, IN ROUND 12 he wouldve really injured his arm with permanent damage, he may not have had this amazing career and status , had he continued
I never seen anyone hurt him. Lewis woke him up a couple times, as did Sanders, but I havent seen him hurt. That vid of him v Cleveland Woods. Oh the memories. Anyone who followed him after his 18 or 19th fight just knew he was destined for all time greatness. That fight with Woods shows him looking like a seasoned vet, and it's only like his 8th or 9th fight. Man, Vitali is a bad sob!
