To Floyd fans and and not fans, I propose an idea.

What would you think of Floyd if he moved back down to 140 and just dominated there for the next 2-3 years? At 140 he has KO power, and there is little reason to believe anyone at 140 stands a chance against him.

How would you judge him, from a historic perspective, if he did that?

Pretty anticlimactic. He's already kicked the ass of the top 140-pounder. Plus, the division is fairly weak. Floyd should beat Oscar again, then dismantle Cotto, then retire. There's nothing left for him to prove.

He needs to beat Oscar again( which is a pointless fight but anyways,), then beat cotto, and I wouldn't mind seeing him fight and beat mosley too just for fun. Then retire cause there is no one else out there to fight that stands even a remote chance.

i thought he looked better and more formidable @140 but to move back down there now would be pointless. Who the hell would he fight down there? Junior Witter or Malignaggi?
Now, if Juan Diaz could thoroughly clean out the LW-class in '08, i wouldn't really mind a Mayweather-Diaz catchweight fight at 140 though, but most certainly NOT before PBF fights Cotto.

First off he doesnt NEED to beat COTTO:patsch PBF is a HOF....Cotto is a FAN Favorite at the momment...beating Cotto would be a nice thing since COTTO is soo hyped up as the next great WW thing...the same guy who got dropped by Torres 3 times:huh

but yeah um PBF dropping down to 140 would be pointless....no challenges and no money!!!:nono

and floyd has KO power at 147, even 154, because of the speed and accuracy of his punches.

He could do that but there is nothing else for Floyd to prove, if he fights Oscar and Cotto later on, then what more there is to do? If he decides to retire after that I will not blame him.

From an historic perspective he already has done great things with his career.
I don't think that by cleaning the division of 140 will do more to his boxing career than what he already has accomplished.

If anything go down to 135 which he could make, and fight Pacman. No 1 and 2 facing eachother, now that fight is huge.

It doesn't matter if its at 140,147,135,or 154. NO ONE is beating Floyd May Weather. Period. So let him fight DLH again and take out Cotto and that will be that.

There are no fighters that have accomplish enough to deserve a fight against Mayweather. Tszyu was defeated by Hatton and was old. Hatton as KOed by Mayweather.

Witter? Torres? Malignaggi? D. Hopkins? It would be pointless to see them against Floyd.

Guess it's true what they say. Floyd boys don't know anything about boxing outside of Floyd.
