i agree the hatton fight gives us an indication but at the end of the day, even if he takes on a reasonable opponent i doubt it'll be someone who has a real chance to beat him. there's mosley (not berto...even if he wins he has no shot), possibly williams and that's about it. unless he signs immediately to fight one of those two, he is still protecting his 0. even if he signs to fight one of them, pac still presents the greater danger. by not doing everything in his power to make that fight happen, he is giving the impression that he didn't want it in the first place

:!:fair enough but i'm just commenting at what we're hearing. none of us have any idea what actually went on behind the scenes so it's really just guesswork at any rate

but whenever you want to make a useful, constructive post with any sense of grammar or spelling, that'd be great:good

You don't go from Floyd Mayweather Jr. to Josh Clottey.

Yes he was serious. He still is serious because as far as we know Team Mayweather's off of a 14 day testing cut off is STILL available. Manny just doesn't want his blood tested under ANY circumstance because he is juicing.

Manny is a joke because he is fighting a Top Rank fighter with ZERO negotiating clout. Not only that he is fighting a guy PERFECT for his juicing ways. Clottey a guy who is KNOWN to fade, not hit hard, and have a low work rate. Perfect for PEDquio. I like Josh Clottey, but he will have a hard time against the cheat.

now this i can agree with. clottey looks good on paper but as you said he'll give in to any demands manny wants, has such a low work rate and poor movement that pac can do whatever he wants in the fight to. drugs aside, it's a safe call for him

Okay I like both fighters and I think Pac would probably beat Floyed by a close margin but I also have serious doughts about wheather he is clean or not because he is not the best boxer in the world and he still gets caught but his chin speed and workrate just never seem to diminish as he moves up in weights and to add to that he is complainin about blood testing however I really respect him for how he surived the streets.
You don't know what either man is thinking and they both have twice the guts you have so why be a ***** and insult fighters and make assumptions about what their thinking and talk about it as hardcore evidence.

well to be fair, this is what i said...twice. we don't know what they are thinking. the question was asked, i gave a guess. that's all. i also said that we have no way of knowing because everything is a rumour at this point.

no one said it was harcore evidence: it's a guess based on what we've been given. this is a boxing forum dude, that's what we do. ****ing relax, if you don't wanna talk about this **** why do you even post in this thread? the thread is asking for opinions

speaking of which you don't know **** about me and i don't know **** about you, yet you come across as a ****ing ******* judging me for posting on a thread.

Fair does am sorry for my attitude then but you seemed like you were going all out to insult Money fans and talking about him as though he doesn't give a **** about legacy. He is well within his rights to want blood testing and he has tried to meet Pacioua halfway.
Both guys are warriors and nobody really knows who will win this one but I would have to say that if Pacioua keeps improving the way he is he will win a close fight and nobody can blame Mayweather for not fighting him unless he knows he's clean.

:goodfair enough and i am coming off pretty harsh on floyd and his fans. i was a BIG mayweather fan until the marquez fight/weight debacle. i was already pissed but i figured if he made the pac fight happen, he'd care about his legacy and he cared about fighting the best. i honestly don't think he cares about legacy cause he constantly says he's already the best of all time, like he has nothing to prove. pac is by no means blameless in all this: he should have just ****ing compromised if this was gonna happen. your point about pac improving is a good one though: if he keeps getting better he could have beaten mayweather, which i wouldn't have said a year ago. you have to admit, he looks WAY more dangerous now and there's no way floyd hasn't taken that into consideration

BTW: sometimes i DO come across like a *****, well played. floyd's just made me so ****ing pissed lately!

    Its totally irrelevant.

Pac is so quick to sign with the guy who in his last fight lost to the guy Pac just handily beat and there is nothing but utter euphoria with this move around here.

Exactly man. I mean I would give Pac some props if he took on Bradley AND did the tests. That would be a solid move and send a tough message. "Yeah I am clean. I fight the best. I won't give an inch against you FMJ!" I would respect that. Problem is that Manny won't do anything like that.

Sorry but i cant see how floyd didnt want the fight.

If i had asked you 2 months ago how to get out of a fight with pac man would your answer to be to demand a RANDOM blood test close to the fight? I dont think so. How would floyd know this either.

I have heard all the "it weakens him" reason, but thinking about it this is the only (semi) logical explanation he could come up with. Sorry but i cant buy this myself. If people in the tour de France can have a bit of blood taken and still perform then why not pac....? Before you say it mentally drains him and he is scared of needles then why does he have so many tats?

How can you possibly think that floyd was 100% certain that pac would not agree to his demands. Basically what i am saying is that if pac agreed to the blood testing then Floyd would have no option but to fight, or duck (ducking at this stage would make floyd look like a total idiot).

If floyd didnt want the fight he would have said he was the bigger draw and wanted a 60/40 split. This would be the only way that he could be 100% certain of pac man and his corner not wanting the fight.

And lets not forget floyd took the overweight clause with no hesitation. Why.... Because he knew that he would (on this occasion) uphold his end of the bargain and come in bang on weight.

Why wont pac do the same to floyds demands? Think about it.

And if someone is willing to cheat on their wife, then i dont see why they wouldnt cheat in other areas.

You must think logically about the scenario, as well as pacs character out of the ring as well as in it.

exactly. bradley would be a more entertaining and honestly, i see him being almost as tough a fight for floyd as pac. but if pac were to defend the ring 140 belt against bradley, an elite fighter in his prime, there would be no complaints
