Why not just admit that its his personality that you truly detest instead of bringing down his accomplishments in the ring and denying him his rightful status as one of the GOAT??
you labelled his detractors and told them he was one of the best... i'm more on your side than theirs but labelling people just destroyed you.
you suggested its his personality they hated rather tha he was a GOAT. its a can of worms bridging that gap if you do it right.
The reason these people talk about his Legacy the way they do myself included is becuase Floyd has labled himself better than the likes of Ali, Robinson etc... That is far from reality especially when you look at who he has actually fought, and his sudden retirement when Margarito was in position to demand a Mayweather fight, Floyd retired just before the Cotto fight becuase Floyd knew that Margarito was going to be in that position. and DLH almost beat him, I mean damn if Floyd barley got by Oscar on the cards, playing Patty cakes rather than fighting how would he have gotten past Margarito? who isnt there to spar, who isnt there to look pretty?
you dont judge fighters but you have no problem judging people straight up who dont agree with your opinions. why dont you try posting a solid opinion without all that baby**** you just posted to them?
atsch atsch atsch atsch Why don't fans of Floyd ever learn or listen? I don't hate Floyd, but his resume is not comparable to the greatest fighters of all time. He barely beat a past-it De La Hoya, and arguably lost to Castillo. He is in the top 50, but nowhere near top 10 or top 20.
I think Floyd had the talent to be one of the greatest, but not the resume. He fought some good fighters at 135, but outside of that not much. So to me, he will always be just a very good fighter, because he never proved himself against the best of his era.
Posters give him credit all the time...yet so many of you have no ability to read a proper sentence, or understand what is being said, and end up making the post into what you THINK IT SAYS. and you respond basically to a post you made. And then you little teenyboppers cry this ****. Floyd's a great fighter. One of the best ever to fight @ 130. He'd give a tough fight to most @ 135. But from 140 to 147, where MOST OF the criticism lies, he just hasn't done much to warrant ATG status as a WW or JrWW. Or to pick him over fighters who have made their name anf beat bigger fighters @ those weights. Give it a rest. All you end up doing is sounding like a crybaby who can't talk about your fave w/o getting overly emotional. atsch
It has nothing to do with his personality. Hopkins is an ******* too but I'm a fan cause he constantly proves himself against the best. If Floyd would stop talking about how great he is and prove it against the BEST COMPETITION IN HIS WEIGHTCLASS!!!!!!!!!!!.....than groupies like you wouldn't have to constantly try and defend the undefensible. This thread= Catastrophic Failure.atsch
BOOM!!! i love floyd and his behaviour!makes a fight interesting!think hes a excellent fighter, but whats said above is 100% correct!
He did lose the first Castillo fight without a doubt! Other than that he claimed to be better than Robinson. PBF did clean out the 140, 147 and 154. At 147 he ducked all the top fighters.
