I am a Hatton fan but both Cotto and PBF are in my top ten favourite boxers. With PBF I don't like him as a person but I feel privelaged to watch a talent of his level and with Cotto I have been a fan since I saw him fight Jucko. He is also a good guy from everything I have seen. I think PBF beats Hatton on points and easily and I think Cotto stops Hatton in a brilliant war of a fight. But I would be hoping Hatton won in both cases. Sadly most people seem to think that part of liking a fighter is to disparage any potential opponent and discredit all that they do.
Correction: As soon as Cotto or Hatton have the balls to sign the dotted line it will be better for boxing.
Come on man, they are top level fighters, if you think Floyd is just going to ¨handle¨ Cotto your going to be suprised. He may beat Cotto, but he will walk through hell to do it. This isnt Fight Night 3.
Cotto is a young fighter who has taken good competition in due time. He shouldnt have fought Floyd any sooner than now. Hatton on the other hand should have taken the fight.
when mayweather challenged cotto he had only had 23 fights and was very young, if you ask me i think it was a smart move.
floyd beating cotto at that time would not have proved anything for floyd, and if cotto lost back then he would have been like fernando vargas, cotto's team done the right thing and built him up going through live contenders. it would have been like floyd fighting castillo after 23 fights.
I think Tszyu was also included in that list until he retired.I think Hatton made the first move fighting Tszyu, really putting himself on the line,I dont think you can really say Mayweather or Cotto have really tested themselves yet and until they meet each other or Hatton they never will.I don't see any others in their primes today that are at this level.
