If he ever beats all three or two out of three, there will just be another excuse to why he wont get his due. Maybe if he was humble he would have, when he cared about being liked no one respected him, you know from his first championship fight til his last fight at lightweight...when he embraced being the villiam is when people started acknowleding him

he already is a 5 weight champion 3 lineal, possibly best ever at 130 and has beaten 16 world champions and several hall of famers....will he earn your respect if he beats these guys and retired undefeated?

It won't mean anything because it'll never happen. I'll bet my house on it, that he can't do it.

the point is if he hasnt proven anything to you qith all he has accomplished you are either blind or will never give him credit...At this point without those wins he ranks higher than most peoples favorite fighters

It won't prove anything because I already see him as an ATG.

His spot in those fan made rankings will bump up a bit.

If they don't recognize his greatness now, they never will regardless of who he beats.

Hate in its purest form, enough to make a real man cringe.

Skill wise, I already rank him as an ATG.

Legacy wise, I will continue to view him as the greatest "What If" of my lifetime. While I will always admire his skills and work ethic, I will always look at him as a guy who never faced the biggest challenges in his career. Beating two guys who are in obvious decline without facing either in their primes will not change that. Martinez would be a nice capper, but by then will be nearly 40 and, based on Mayweather's record, slowing down before it happens.

When he is retired for about 5 years - then people will miss him. Until then, the hate won't stop.

He's already an ATG fighter. As far as what those performances say about his legacy, it depends on how they play out.

I doubt even his biggest haters have said he hasn't proven anything. Just hyperbole for a poster's sake of TRYING to make a point.

It won't prove anything new. It'll just be a concrete confirmation of his greatness. When fans see a gifted fighter like Floyd, they just want to see him display his talent and skillset at its absolute highest against the best of the best. I mean, what's the point of having all of those God-given gifts, if they're not going to be exhibited like they're supposed to? If you got a bad-ass pair of kicks, why are you only wearing them for trips down the shop to get some milk? Rock those mu'****ers on a night out. Nah'm sayin?

Floyd need to beat Monte Barrett if he wants some respect.

Floyd: What Pacquiao is doing is equivalent to as if I was knocking out heavyweight.

Floyd: I'm afraid for my health if I fight PAC. The fans need to stop forcing me to fight him.
