Anybody notice this? Victor Ortiz loses against Maidana, draws with Peterson at 140, moves up to 147 and beats Berto. Good enough for Floyd... Guerrero fights a tough fight against Aydin, but does win, moves up to 147 and beats up Berto... Floyd wants him. Not giving Floyd crap for fighting Guerrero, it's a decent fight IMO coming back from jail, but it's a bit ironic that all you got to do to fight Floyd lately is beat up Andre Berto. Guys like Pac and Martinez been doing it wrong. Just beat up Berto :good
Berto is a good gate keeper. I think his style would make an interesting fight with floyd but he's not gonna get that fight if he keeps losing to the likes of ortiz and guerrero.
To get a fight with Manny, just lose a fight ,sign with top rank and boom To get a fight with Martinez, make sure no 1 has ever heard of you, dont be a top middleweight and boom you got a fight
I think Manny's situation is more dictated by Arum. Otherwise, why do you fight Marquez 4 times, and you walked away with 2 decisions and a draw in the first 3. Count your blessings and move on. I don't think that's fair for Martinez. Not many in the division to fight, and Cotto, Floyd, Canelo, want no part of him at 154. He has beaten most good prospects at 160, but of course JR. was a top draw (though he didn't deserve much of it). If he beats Golovkin tomorrow people say he's over rated. Quillin hasn't done much either. Only thing that Martinez could do that'd be an OMG moment would be fight Ward at 168.
