I remember when the "most dangerous challenges" was Golovkin.

Let me tell you something about Canelo, he always avoids the most dangerous fighters accoridng to his haters, until he fights them, and then off to another accusation of avoiding fighters by his haters only to fight them, and on and on for a full circle.

Canelo doesn't duck fighters. He's proven that more than any current champion.

    Give up guys.

He didn't duck Golovkin he semi waited him out and then jobbed him twice when he hadn't waited him out quite enough. Next September should about do it.

I'm not justifying anything, I'm stating that Lemieux is a very dangerous fighter, which he is. What I will say about Lemieux is that he's been inconsistent. He looked like crap against Saunders, looked like a world beater against Stevens.

The issue I had with DL was that he seemed to be having trouble making 160 but against SOS he seemed to be in much better shape than he's looked in recent fights and seemed to still be able to make 160 without too much difficulty. So it really depends on which David Lemieux shows up. If DL Canelo happens I really don't know what to expect. Maybe it'll turn out that you're right but I can't sit here and boldly predict that it's a **** fight or that it'll be an easy night for Canelo. We know DL has big power, and BJS made it look easy because he was fighting off the backfoot the entire fight. Canelo should probably revert back to how he fought GGG last September because I don't know if it's smart for Canelo to go toe-to-toe with Lemieux like he did with GGG in the 2nd fight.

I didn't rate DL very highly when Golovkin beat him and think even less of him now. There are clearly far more deserving fighters in the division so there is no need to give Lemieux a shot for one punching an overmatched Spike so early that we couldn't even get a reading on whether or not your theory of him making weight better was true. One round of heavy bag work told us nothing on the stamina front.

Whether or not DL is deserving is debatable, but it's really the easiest fight for Golden Boy / HBO to make since their roster is so thin.

I'd rather see Canelo fight BJS / Derevyanchenko / Jacobs but those guys are fighting next month so obviously those fights can't be made right now. Who would you want to see Canelo fight in December?

    "155 or no fight!"

    Not a theory.

I don’t see why people are trashing this fight?
Lemieux is a problem for anyone in the division not named BJS. That left hand catches Canelo and the fight could end quickly. I’m sure Canelo wins most likely by stoppage but it would be very fun to watch.

Well I'm glad to hear you say that as that's far more logical sounding. Murata seems a good choice to me. I'd like to see that fight. Charlo?

As for DL maybe put him in with CEJ and then the winner will have some kind of momentum.

At that point I'd just blank out anything to do with his fights. Can't see him not fighting at 160 from hereon out though.

David Lephew has been blown away by GGG already, so what's the point of this fight?:demon7:

Its a solid fight especially after a brutal bout with GGG

    Lemmy is a top 10 160

Stop with the non sense he is scared of Charlo. Although its a tough match up, Canelo is scared of no one you should know that by now

Its just the beef with GB/PBC is too real & Lemmy is with GB so its a 1000x easier to make....

I do think Canelo will eventually fight Charlo either late 2019 or early 2020
