    No mate.
    If you start seriously now.
In a year you should be ready to fight (26).
Keep it going, and who knows, end of your 20s you could be going to the CW Games in Glasgow 2014 :)

If you're earning on the side-lines and have something to fall back on, then go for it. A person is hardly in the Gym 24/7 so I don't see it being a problem.

    Never too late.

Martin Rogan won prize fighter when he was 37 years of age, he beat Olympic Gold Medallist and latter European champ Audley Harrison and he went on to be the first man to stop Matt Skelton and take his Commonwealth title all in the same year.

He had only begun to box 9 years ealier.

I've met folks who turned pro in their mid-20's. Not sure about being a contender though, but you won't really know unless you try.

Train in the gym for a few months. Pick up the basics, start sparring and see if you can hack it. Maybe even compete in a few amateur tournaments.

If you have no aptitude for boxing, you'll soon find out in the ring. There's really no other way to find out.

Nope, on Saturday one of the ladies that fights with us named Yvette McCullar just won her 4th pro fight at the age of 40. She has only been boxing for 3 years, with NO amateur experience.

You're still young. The pro's in the gym tell me all the time I'm still young (I'm 24), and have alot to give the sport if I really try. Same goes for you.

"Being realistic, is the quickest way to a mediocre life."

    ^Remember that, and think big.

You could easily represent your country one day, and be a successful pro if you really try.

That is motivating stuff, for those of us with no records in our 20's or older, trying to just now buckle down and be serious about our sport.

    She's living her dream (hopefully).

I agree, but I don't think anyone above said it was easy.

We all know boxing isn't the nicest sport to those who participate.

I like to be as positive as possible on this part of the forum, as being realistic doesnt help people achieve their dreams too much imo...
