    Brainwashed?

He gave an interview with the GR press awhile ago explaining that Money was something he picked up from fans, not his own invention. Like I care what he calls himself. He could call himself Fing Fang Foom and he'd still be twice the talent of those jokers in your avatar. :good

If a sports fan dislikes one of the competitors...it's not hate.

It's part of athletics...some of you sound like little girls, or rap stars who fell off already...constantly crying about "hate"...

Its an internet forum,in which we can express trivial, petty annoyances.
Thats the bloody point. We know its not earth shattering or world changing, its an online hobby. Moaning about Boxers is one of the raison d'etres' of this medium,so dont be so fukin pompous and superior.

What's so wrong with him giving himself a new nickname. Kind of makes sense, when you consider his old nickname was "Pretty Boy" and he's a thirty year old boxer. Either way, it's hardly pathetic for either his fans or boxing writers to do this; it's very common whenever a celebrity does this type of thing: Michael Jackson, Sean Combs, Prince (Hmm just noticed that those are all black guys. Well on second thought 2 black guys and one formerly black currently Martian guy), for both fans and writers to adopt the new name eventually.

Is it egotistical of him to change his nickname to Money? Sure it is. But so what. It seems like you simply have a problem with Mayweather himself, and have a problem with fans that like him as a result of that. Otherwise, I don't see why you would think it's that pathetic. I mostly call him FMJ, but I've called him Money once or twice, and I've almost never called him "Pretty Boy". I'd also rather call him Money than the Pretty Boy. It's the better name of the two if you ask me. I could give a **** less if it's egotistical, it's not like it's innacurate.

Doesn't make anyone pathetic to call him that. I think that seriously having an issue with this is kind of silly.
