So Clottey says it was a fracture...

He also said it was broken and/or bruised. What are we supposed to believe?

Sounds like the sort of inconsistencies you'd find when someone is BULLSHITTING.

Clottey is a bad mofo but great fighters do what they have to do to get the victory and marg did what he did to beat clottey. this time around i still expect Clottey to be competitive but Marg will outpunch Clottey.

Please if you can find a source where Clottey says all he did was bruise his knuckles, I will be happy to stfu. I believe it was just a rumor when he found it his hand wasn't broken like he thought, until then though, do us the honors.

Heres another source for you, excusive interview courtesy of ESB, RIGHT before the Corrales fight:

24.03.07 - By James Slater: Ghanaian born Bronx native, Joshua "The Hitter"

"J.S: What are your recollections of your fight with Margarito?"

"J.C: I wanted that fight for a very long time, ever since I was living in Africa. He's (Margarito) just the same as any other fighter, earning a living from boxing. When I was offered that fight I said yes straight away. I felt my hand go at the end of the fourth round. It wasn't broken, but they told me at the hospital later that it had a stress fracture. I would like to fight Margarito again, to avenge my loss. I know he can't change his defensive shortcomings."

Wow AzteK do you even read when people reply to you? I already corrected you on this. You seriously suffer from selective memory. Now I'm going to tell you something, read very closely and carefully, don't let your attention wander and please watch the post-fight again because I know you won't believe me.

In the Sentana (Euro-station) post fight interview they ask him who he wants next. He says he wants Margarito.

In the HBO post-fight interview Kellerman poses the question this way:
"IF MARGARITO doesn't give you a shot, who do you want?"
    To which he responded Berto.

God damn how old did your mom stop spoon-feeding you dude?

In any event, Antonio Margarito did what he had to do that night. regardless of any injury his opponent was carrying.

Did Clottey sustain a hand injury? I believe he did, but should this discredit either fighter? Nope.

    Bring on the rematch.

Idiots on this forum probably don't even know what a stress fracture is. We're talking about micro-fractures that don't even show up on a typical X-RAY. Everyone that trains vigorously has probably suffered from it at one time or another. A little rest and it heals by itself. I'm glad not everyone cries like Clottey when they get a stress fracture.

You can't really trust in the word of a guy who says something like this " I never been hurt in my career, never been hurt against Judah and Margarito, honest, I tell you the truth Max"... Listen, why won't we believe in Zab who says that the cut on his eye was due to a clash of heads like Clottey does so many times when we clearly saw it was made by a left uppercut? I mean, even the ringside doctor suggested that Zab lied when he couldn't see two or three fingers... And he's right, Zab lied, he could have continued but didn't want to... Joshua lies when he says that he wasn't hurt against Margarito! He was mentally hurt when he saw the other guy coming and coming after those first four rounds...

I'd feel bad to flame you if you really were mentally handicapped so I'll just repaste this:

In the HBO post-fight interview Kellerman poses the question this way:
"IF MARGARITO doesn't give you a shot, who do you want?"

Why shouldn't people have ran with that? People can only go with the information they had. And since there were a few different reports on the severity of his hand, you can't really fault anyone for believing what they did.

People will bash Clottey. Just like they do Margarito or any other fighter. Why give their bull**** meaning by making a thread that sounds like a bitter Mayweather fan?

The most knowldgeable posters and people KNOW Clottey isn't some scrub or heartless loser. I've read some of your posts, you're pretty good. Just don't give in to the "Mayweather fanboy thread making format..". We get too much stupidity from them. :thumbsup

You've got an excuse for everything. If Margarito loses the rematch I hope you honor the bet and don't come at me with a passel of excuses.

Clottey was knee deep in that ass until he hurt his hand.
