It's not made up. You were offered a bet and only agreed to take it if Joshua had a certain trainer. You ran away from it despite your prior bravado. Could really care less whether you acknowledge it or not.

I really like Hearn. Funny guy and talks a lot of sense about boxing when he doesn't have his promoter's hat on. He's a promoter though so a lot of his opinions can be discredited
