Basically. It's just more salient in the HW division because it's very, very ****.

Agreed. Wlad is kinda like a poor-mans Lennox Lewis. Clinches more, can't throw the uppercut nearly as well as Lewis. Lennox was able to brawl, and did so against the likes of heavy hitters such as Bruno, Mercer, Vitali, and Briggs. Lewis was a more complete fighter imo.

Though to Wlad's credit, I do feel his jab's a little better than Lewis'. He throws it more, and can really control a fight with it. Thats about the only thing Wlad has better.

I think Lewis' jab was better.Tested against a higher caliber of opponent. He threw it from more angles, and was more likely to land it clean when he threw it.

Wlad's left hook is better than Lewis' though. It's the only thing he has up on Lewis.

Klitschko bros would beat all champions before 1960's. That includes Louis.

A prime Lewis or even the Lewis of the Ruddock fight would beat the ever-lastin' bejeesus out of Wladimir, knock him flat in three. In shape, Lewis would whip vitali too. Still, the Klitschkos are the class of the division today. For a couple of reasons. They're big and in top physical condition. They know how to use their god-given talents to full effect thanks to Manny Steward. Their opponents are large, slow-moving slobs or smaller guys with no offensive capability to speak of. None of them seem to know how to get past the Klitschko jab. Not a clue. They stand there like they just put on a pair of mits for the first time in their lives. Either their trainers/fitness coaches don't know what they're doing, or they can't get through to the pea-brains they're dealing with.

It's gotten down-right embarassing to watch these guys today. Though what can you expect from a mob of pugs who started boxing at 27 or 30 years old? You can't teach a guy anything at that age. You need to start them young.

It's been said before. Why get involved in a dirty game like pro boxing when you can make way more money at other pro sports or peddlling dope on a street corner.

Time to play taps for boxing in North America.....barring another great depression.

    I disagree Strongly.

Nowadays these Two Champs Klitschko are so STRONG champs the Contenders Are afraid to Fight them...

These guys Rahman's Briggs have no other choises and they still has the name so that is why they get title Fights.

not because they are GOOD nowadays or better yet ever was.:patsch

Somewhere in the early to mid 90,s it seemed people thought bigger meant better in the heavyweight division which then got out of control when people thought fatter and bigger were the same thing.

The Klitchkos must be finding life boring at the top.

    Maybe because they're clean????

  11. Oh please, the Heavyweight division is by far the strongest division of them all. The 17 weight classes have destroyed the midget lower weight divisions, even with all those extra weight classes for the puny skeleton fighters you still see them turning down fights for the sake of an extra
1 kg advantage! But guest what? None of this nonsense effects The Daddy of all weights thankfully, The Heavy Weight division.

Not really. He didn't win THE world title, he won A world title. Foreman only fought 1 of those 4 and he lost clearly

Yes and no. If you remember, both Bruno and Mercer were out jabbing Lewis at certain points in their fights with him. Name one oppenent that got the best of Wlad in a jabbing contest?

I hate Wlad, there is no denying that. Though watching both men growing up, I tend to be more amazed by Wlad's jab. I agree Lewis' was thrown at different angles and was landed against better oppenents. I still feel Wlad's has more pop, and harder to get past/through for his oppenents to mount a consistant attack.
