Dirrell fought like a *****, but Froch didn't virtually anything productive in that fight. Regardless of Dirrels flopping around, he was the only fighter landing clean shots. Froch should have lost that fight. What's funny is that he lost to Kessler in his next fight, and i actually remember thinking he beat Kessler by a point. And I hate Froch. Karma's a *****?

Dirrell's inside game makes Wlad's look like Jake LaMotta's.

Really poor observation , you are making those asumptions based on the boxing tactics of dirrell.

Mayweather is the best fighter on the ****ing plant and is no gatti and no *****.

Dirrell has show his true colours.

I had to watch it twice. I watched it the first time and I got really hammered during. After all the debate on here, I thought, maybe I was too crocked to have even comprehended the, uh, "action". So, I watched it again and scored it. Then I planted an ice pick directly into my skull for relief.

Dirrel did not come to fight, he just wanted to try to get a couple of point scoring punches in then be evasive every round.

I dont why this is such an issue for people still, do you hate Froch that much that you have to keep bringing this up?

He is not the first or wont be the last to get a home town decision, like Kessler did when froch fought him in Denmark. I had that as a draw.

    Get over it.

I wouldn't disagree with that reaction.

After Froch's bouts with Pascal and Taylor, I was very pumped for the Dirrell bout...

I liked Dirrel and was hoping he would beat Froch.. unfortunately come the final bell I felt he had thrown away his advantage in speed and accuracy by his negative approach. Thing is about clinching is to do it right. Watch others clinchers like Hopkins.. he does not lunge at his opponents to grab hold of them, he moves and works in where the clinch becomes less obvious to judges and the referee who initiated the clinch. Dirrel was virtually running away half the fight and desperately grabbing Froch the other half.

Dirrel is a great boxer, however he was naive in this fight. The decision was the right one ultimately. Had Dirrel gone in there and showed that he wanted the belt he would have won. Froch had real difficulty with his speed, Dirrel was just too concerned with getting caught by Froch.

Let's look at the alternative scenario..

Dirrel wins decision. We now have a world champion who won it by scoring quick points and then running and holding. This would be embarrassing for boxing as a whole and set almost a president for others to do the same. The fight was horrible to watch. Do we as boxing fans (putting aside favoritism) want to see belts changing hands like this?

Are you saying that Dirrell was a clear cut winner beyond any doubt??

I scored it 6-6 in rounds and Dirrell was deducted a point. There were 6 rounds where Dirrell genuinley did nothing. Froch was at least tried to engage in those rounds so he won them.

anyway who gives a **** about Dirrell. his style is boring and hes a chicken.

Whoever scored that fight for Froch should be embarrassed to admit that they scored it for Froch, simply because it shows how closely they watch a fight, which is seemingly not very closely, either that, or their judgment is terrible.

Kessler I thought Froch might of beaten, certainly did'nt think he lost!, but he lost to Dirrell.

If I was a Dirrell fan I would have been furious at him for how he "fought" that night. He had the talent to win that fight clearly but, because of his antics, he made it much closer than it had to be. I personally had him winning a close decision but he gave the judges enough room to score it for Froch.

I think the judges decided to punish him for how he fought, and gave the benefit of every doubt to Froch. That might not be right but if it dissuades other fighters from performing like that, then I'm fine with it.

The thing I like the most about the Super 6 is that one loss doesn't really matter - you have the opportunity to immediately redeem yourself. He managed to **** that up too.

Boxing is a sport. Sport is entertainment. If doing everything in your power NOT to fight earns you a win, then no one is going to be entertained. If boxers can fight and win by not fighting, they'll all do it, and what sport will there be left? Imagine Mora vs Dirrell!
