You can't just pick apart Crawford's resume and say he's not #1. It's easy to pick apart Lomachenko's and GGG's resumes too. Then you have no#1 at all.

It's because he's a black American is why I think a lot of the boxing demographic choose him... it's so ingrained in there heads that the best should be! Sorry but I'm keeping it real. Can u argue a guy who's resume is mainly built on Ricky Burns is #1!! (Indongo, Burns, Beltran) Isn't that ridiculous? One the one hand they hold Loma to ridiculous standards like he needs to be a 5 weight champion etc first yet on the other they labelled TC the best even before beating B level one hit wonders like Postol who they were slagging off prior anyway

I personally think the subject & the #1 claim right now is still in the air & find it hard to pick one. 2018 will sort it out IMO. Loma beats Linares & maybe unifies in part 135 too & his case will strengthen..

GGG, Canelo, Loma, Crawford, Garcia, Usyk, Inoue, Singsurat, Bivol, Kova... I mean what is the criteria?? Skill? Resume? Achievement? Bivol IMO is one of the most exciting & aesthetically pleasing boxers to watch but does he have a p4p resume? Obviously not! Loma is just other worldly... But he has a loss (albeit debatable) Canelo IMO is right up there but he's a cheat! GGG? Its probably him.. Though if MW had a Loma GGG would lose to him! Its all subjective...

This. It’s amazing how many people kinda ignore Srisaket Sor Rungvisai, it’s like he doesn’t exist. Mentioned her only twice in 3 pages.

He scares the forum goons who are dug in on both the usual sides.

You can't really understate the streak he is on and how it dominates all arguments when discussing recent relevant accomplishments of active fighters.

I had SSR losing the first fight to Chocolatito (who was smaller) and pretty much even with Estrada who is not top 10 p4p. So hard to say he's #1. Yes his win over Chocolatito in the rematch was an impressive result but if you watched the fight you know Gonzalez was not in it from the opening bell, regardless of who was in front of him. I think the bad decision really took it out of him.

Yeah, that may be true, but a lot of G fans made the same claim. It's not so much who he beat, but how he's beating them. There is some truth in that as well. I had Loma and Crawford neck and neck at #1. After the Rigo whoopin, I firmly placed Loma at #1. Crawford and G are interchangeable at #2.

Damn! Tough list. Who are the 5 fighters that you place higher than Crawford?

Well he is not #1 P4P so there is no need of explanation.

    The P4P concept is stupid.

It should be renamed "Let's give the little guys credit".

Lomachenko's opponents in world title fights have been no better than Joshua's......

For example - Their most experienced opponents were Salido/Klitschko...And Salido is nowhere near Wlad's level and lomachenko still lost.

intere4sting you claim someon else is being race biased, seeing that you then went immediately on to claim the white boxer (ricky burns) is the one who gives crawford his name.... inferring that the BROWN guys indongo and beltran who beat burns dont count for more in your opinion.

only ridiculous for you writing it.
