Let's be honest that Ross Purity would have a good shot as well. Dude beat Wladdy, should have beat Morrison, and has a useful win against Joe Hipp. That is considerably better than anything on Wilder's record.

This. I was genuinely impressed with Wilder after Stiverne I. He showed a good jab, decent chin and the ability to control his opponent . I remember thinking “Oh, okay, Wilder’s got something. Mix some body work in there and a decent left hook and this guy is ready to rock!”

Then he fell in love with himself and his power.

 

exactly imagine 2-3 body shots then a left hook as the opponent moves back would have been a good tactic but wilder is too dumb to implement it
