Some information about this very important aspect of nutrition. I found this website when I was looking for information on sunflower oil, which I recently added to my list of daily supplements. Despite it being a commercial plug for his own oil blend (which he describes in detail btw, no need to buy it), it contains a shitload of factual information.

    Enjoy:

I've been taking an oil blend (flaxseed + sunflower) for less than a week, before that I had flaxseed only. The shiner I got in sparring yesterday seemed to be ugly, but I think it's starting to disappear already. Normally it turns purple, then blue, etc.

Another benefit of flaxseed: I find it prevents acne. I don't have bad complexion, and even I've noticed a major difference since I began taking it. Has this happened to anyone else?

Btw, thanks for the sunflower oil info, RDJ, i'll definitely check it out.

According to this site it's better to combine flaxseed with sunflower oil. Flaxseed is high in omega 3, sunflower high in omega 6.

Why not just take fish oil?
It has both omega 3 and 6.

Why not both, alternate between them. A possible reason to prefer these plant oils over fish oil, is rancidity, the awkward taste of fish oil is caused by processing, which also reduces the oils quality. Another reason is its price.
