Actually its not a bad example. Is Floyd not capable of turning southpaw as Callazo? Is Floyd not a slick boxer like Callazo? Is Floyd not the bigger fighter going into this match up? All signs lean to "yes". Of course it has nothing to do with how this fight unfolds, but its a valid point whether or not you want to face the facts.

As for 147 and lack of conditioning. Why didn't Hatton give Callazo a rematch? Simply because 147 is too much for him. As far as Cintron, Williams etc.. I skipped that because it was totally off topic.

No it wouldn't - if the extra 7lbs slows you down, it would be wise to train for a fight at 147 as you normally train for your fights at your optimum weight - 140lbs.

There are other reasons for why he had trouble vs Collazo.

Hatton is going to try to stay in front of mayweather with his defense...........funny...bounce in front of him and keep up with his lateral movement. Wont work.

Fair enough, Hatton's thinking is similar to PBF/DLH when Floyd didn't weight exactly 154, but allowed himself to be lighter by a few pounds. I can see your logic.

I see gotcha. Train as a 140 figher against a 147 fighter and expect the same results as if you're fighing a 140 lb fighter:good

Why would I ignore it. I created this post. I clearly stated that I like to agree to disagree. Read next time before you give me emotionally charged responses. If you read my thread I already told you I don't care who you choose I just want to understand the logic of why you choose Hatton for instance when he apparently didn't have success at 147 in his first go around against a lesser figher. I want to be proven wrong so give me your best shot.

I know reasons why many underrate him, but I personally don't underrate him. I just don't see him being as successful at 147. I also believe that his aggressive style was more affect as far as pulling out clear decisive victories. Perhaps its because he stepping up in competition that it doesn't appear to be that way consistantly.

We may underrate Hatton but Floyd wont.....Hatton had better be ready and done what he can because i think people are starting to underestimate how good Floyd really is in the ring Mentally and Physically.

Its a lousy example.:yep Floyd isnt a southpaw and doesnt routinely switch stance. So suddenly for this fight only, Floyd will turn southpaw? Do you know what facts are?? It's a valid "assumption" based on you're viewpoint but Collazo and Floyd are two different fighters stylistically.

147? this fight should have happened at 40 and PBF is slightly taller than Hatton does that mean bigger? :nono Floyd chose 47 thinking that Hatton's struggle with Collazo was partially based on the weight. Hatton had a shorter training time and admittedly didnt have his best camp or performance. That isnt the case this time around and team Hatton addressed that specifically over a proper time period for the upcoming fight.

Funny that you should criticize Hatton with the names Cintron and Williams when it is 99.99% of PBF fans who are LINING UP to claim that Floyd doesnt need the Winner of that fight?:rofl Seriously? This is the type twisted Mayweather Fan bull**** that stinks beyond what is reasonably tolerable:good

Why dont you save you're "off topic" specualtion for the WINNER OF PBF VS HATTON:hey

Oh please, saying that there's a lot of difference between 147 and 140 is ridiculous. There's a difference, but not so much.

Hatton sucked against Collazo because of this:

    1. He was 160 lbs. the night of the fight
    2. Collazo's size
    3. Collazo's style.
    4. He underrated Collazo.

Those were the reasons why he struggled against Collazo. Not because of 7 ****in pounds.
