Over the past couple of weeks, I've seen post after post citing Pacquiao's "weight gain" as evidence of his use of banned substances. Even Paulie Malignaggi said that it was "very hard to put on 15 pounds of muscle in a year-and-a-half" and cited this as the reason he believed Pacquiao to be using PEDs. For this to make any sense whatsoever, it would have to mean that while Pacquiao was fighting at 130, he wasn't cutting any weight and his everyday weight was somewhere near 130. Unfortunately for the haters, there is not an ounce of truth in this previous statement.

So what really happened? In 2004 for the first Marquez fight, he weighed 125 at the scales but entered the ring at 137. Now consider Pacquiao's weight for the third Erik Morales fight in late 2006 at 130. Pacquiao officially weighed in at 129, but entered the ring on fight night at 144. Are you starting to see the big picture? If not consider Pacquiao's weights in more recent bouts:

129 to 145 for Marquez II in March 2008
134 1/2 to 147 for David Diaz in June 2008
142 to 148 1/2 for Oscar De La Hoya in December 2008
138 to 148 for Hatton in May 2009

From looking at these weights it is easy to determine that Pacquiao's success in the higher weights is not the result of putting on "15 pounds of muscle in a year-and-a-half." Rather we can see that ascent in weight has been far more gradual than the cynics will admit. Pacquiao simply stopped cutting weight and his performances have clearly benefited as result.

In conclusion, anyone who cites weight gain as an indication of PED use is completely ignorant to the simple facts of Pacquiao's increased size.

Both Floyd and Manny did the same weight jumping.

The only difference is that as Manny jump up in weight, his balls got bigger whereas Floyd's balls got smaller. Floyd left his balls at 130.

This has been discussed at length, but unfortunately many refuse to acknowledge it. If you consider the rigged scales for the DLH fight, and Manny's shock over "officially" weighing-in so light when he was expecting to come in at 146, you'll see even more evidence that he isn't draining to make weight.

Similar willful blindness occurs in those who cling to the supposedly "obvious" fact that Manny's relies on steroids, but ignore his willingness to have unlimited random urine tests. Nobody using steroids is going to accept unlimited random urine tests, because steroids and their metabolites show up in ****.

What i find funny is all the guys Pac beat prior to the accusations were all bums.

DLH - weight drain, and past prime
Hatton - exposed and is a bum
    Diaz - bum
Cotto - weight drained, exposed, past prime

According to the PBF nuthuggers. Now they are claiming he needs PED to beat these so call bum. They will cling to this PED. If Pac sucked so bad that he needs PED to beat bum, then why doesn't PBF sign the fight and get the easiest 30 million of his life?

Of course they will stick to the blood test instead of answering the question. Instead of PBF giving a boxing lesson to Pac for an easy 30 million dollar payday they 'll just say "blood test".

its not that he gained weight that makes ppl suspicious. Its moving up a few weight classes and getting faster and stronger all of a sudden. He was getting rocked in the lower weight classes and now he can take punches from welter weights with no problem. I personally didnt believe he was using roids until he completely fumbled the ball with the mayweather negotiations, he made himself look very suspicious.

    this is not news.

the weight gain is not the only reason people are making noise about ped use. it was also about his uncanny ability to get faster and more powerful the heavier he got. as well as his ability to take shots from guys like cotto with no visible effect.

however the main reason is his refusal to take blood tests.

HGH is the only thing not being detected. Roid can not pass the urine test if tested during use. Look up what the World Anti Doping Agency list for roid test. Urine. They also list urine as the EPO test. HGH is the only thing they want tested with blood. HGH without steroid isn't going to do you any good.
