Did you hear everything he said after he won in his interview, he wished Kotelnik the best and said he ''gave me a hard fight and caught me with good shots, and said ''i hope he can come back to win a world title again one day'', so whats all this bull**** about arragonce? Hes become a humble lad simple as, people should really give him a break now, it didnt happen how everyone panned it out to be when he turned professional, but no matter what happens next, Khan became a world champion against a decent world champion/belt holder, not the best of the lot of course but then Khan was set to suffer his 2nd KO loss too right? ;)

I think alot of us need to cut him slack and congratulate him, he did what he said he would do and became world champion, not the YOUNGEST as he planned but he lived up to the part of his hype that said he'd be a world champion atleast.

I think Khan would/could beat Madaina... just alot of speed for 12 rounds UD again, but with a water tight defence: something which would have to be the Key to learn and work on in the training camp, becoming very elusive and defensive while still firing off speed combinations.

PLEASE THOUGH, NO MORALES Fight Madaina, if that is in the bag, rematch and beat Prescott on american soul, then have a homecoming against Hatton for the event etc., i would like something like this in the next year or so.

...We're not talking about interviews. When do you remember Khan punching holes through a Barrera picture, saying he'll be p4p one day, that he wants to fight Mayweather and Hatton, that Kotelnik is a paper champion and so on and so on in his post match interviews? He does it at other times. His build up. Things like his crown in the build up to this fight is why Khan grates on people, not his post match speech, the difference is this time it could be argued that he did "prove people wrong" as opposed to the Barrera fight where it came down to a cut where nothing could be 'argued' at all.

This is the first time many people can congratulate Khan on winning a fight he truly deserved. That wasn't an over the hill fighter that lost because of a gash, or a P.E. teacher, etc.

yep. he was wearing a crown because the show had to have a name and it was called 'the man who would be king'. pretty obvious if you think about it.

When you get smashed within a minute by a nobody, and rocked by a jab, its time to stop being arrogant. Although I do like Amir, and he was brilliant tonight.

I agree I think as a lad himself he's a very decent guy. Most the bull**** comes from sky or Warren, or what he's been told to say to sell the fight.

Look at how Small acted after his win, and he's the biggest gobshite of them all before fights, its about selling tickets and with some fighters about getting in the head of your opponent.

Wont be his choice thought will it. Warren and the SKY team decide Khan's future, and will be hyping the Hatton fight to the moon!! Since it would be Ricky's last chance of a payday, I think he will go for it as well!

Praise to Khan for last night, and all the punching of a pic of Barrera and trashtalk of Floyd etc is just part and parcel of boxing!! When Tyson was saying he would eat opponents children we just laugh and it made it made us want to watch him more!! All the trashtalk is to SELL the fights, and in a way I praise the balls of Khan to challenge Floyd, Pac-man etc, because he is now creeping to that level by holding a world title, so they suddenly become an option (although I still dont think Khan is that class yet at all).

It was impressive by Amir, and at least we have another British champion!

Thing is, Frank Warren is crafty enough to avoid the mandatory of Madaine IMO, I REALLY believe Khan could win though, long as he is defensive just as much as offensive and cant afford to take clean shots, okay getting hit by the occassional arm or clipped by the side of the glove is fair enough but against Madaina i think it would just be Madaina charging forward for 12 rounds pushing Khan very hard but Khan has shown hes tough enough to handle it i think, he gets roughed up at the Wild Card Gym so its obvious, I think it would be a case of Khan throwing combos off the back foot occassionally but more than anything keeping the hands high and jabbing while Madaina keeps charging, DEFENCE is the key for beating Madaina i think, aswell as heart to stay in there.

i dont mind a bit of arrogance in a fighter as long as they deliver like they say if you talk the talk then you better walk the walk and khan is doing that now however i think he is a little more humble than he used to be simply because hes growing up i mean who on here can deny that with age comes wisdom

You're not serious? Hatton could fight you, me, or Betty Swollocks and make more money than Khan could against any fighter on the planet.

I dont post here much but after the Prescott fight and in a lot of threads discussing Kahn, a lot of people (who youd think would be good boxing judges) thought there wanst a chance in hell that he could get this far. Their brains were clouded by hate as they couldnt entertain the idea that Kahn could employ a hit but not get hit tactic. Of course he could have failed but it was as if there was zero chance of it happening... tut tut.

Well done to the kid for a very mature performance.
