Alright, in terms of Pac should be making great fights and cleaning out 135 first, hell, I'm with you.

But to consider the DLH fight a circus and a joke, wait for just a moment and analyze the situation. Wasn't everyone caling out Oscar for it will give them the biggest payday of his career? Do they think they can actually beat Oscar? Of course not. If the opportunity presented itself to Pac to make several millions for a fight, should he reject it because you said so. Again, hell no.

Besides, it's not you who will move up 12 pounds and trade punches with Oscar. It's Pac.

If you want a precedent that this fight is not a absurd as you think, here: George Charpienter started out as a 16 year old flyweight, he ended up winning the lightheavyweight title and challenged Jack Dempsey for the world heavyweight title. And Pac is not fighting a prime heavyweight, he'll do it against an aging former middleweight champion who will move down a weightclass to accomodate him.

Doesn't it even touches your minds that this is only a one shot thing and Pac will return to 135 the second the winner of the fight is announced. Come on.

If you don't like the fight, then don't watch it. Plain and simple.

tbh i think Pac has a decent shot at beating Oscar but its only cause i think Oscar is well shot and will be draining himself to death to make 147, which is one of the reasons why this fight is a joke.

Pac has plenty of great challenges at 135 and if ODLH wants to prove he still has something left then he should fight someone like Daniel Santos at 154.

I still don't think Oscar vs Pac will come off though

Everyone wants a piece of Oscar. That's what it's all about, and with roach telling Pac, " you could beat him, I know I trained him..."
Pac is thinking, why shouldn't I have a chance?

Detest isn't the word that a lot of people feel towards this fight. It's concern. But you're right in a sense, it's Pac risking his life, not anybody else. Just like all the other boxers.

But the fallout boxing will experience should anything tragic occur as a result of this glaring mismatch will probably sound the death knell of the sport.

    I don't like this fight. I would prefer Hatton-Pacquiao.

But was Hagler-Duran a circus act? Duran started at 120. Hagler was at 160.

Or was Ruiz-Jones a circus act? Jones started at 154 and Ruiz was over 200.

    i don't detest a pac-dlh fight.

I understand well that pitting two cash cows would definitely raise the roof and bring record breaking revenues and top grossing paydays for both the promoter/fighter who is DLH himself and the fighter who is pacman. But i believe both legends have already made tons of money that would last them a lifetime.

But as a boxing fan as well as a pac fan, i'd like to see pac go up against top level opponents of the lightweight division to further legitimize and seal his claim of being the current top p4p fighter of the world. Fighters like j.diaz, guzman, campbell, valero, casamayor, katsidis, khan or even a jmm3...He may win it all or he may lose some but for me it doesn't really matter for as long as he braves to fight them all. This i believe is a more credible way of cementing further his legacy. Pacman, at this stage, should shift his focus on this aspect of his fight career. With all the wars he's been through and in my estimate, i believe he'll be competitively good til' early of 2010.

But be that as it may, if the fight truly pushes through, it will indeed be a mega fight and hopefully, an equally entertaining one!:good

The problem is Roach is the worst trainer Oscar ever had. That fight was the worst performance besides Sturm I ever seen Oscar in. With Mayweather Sr. in corner Roach will be outgunned 10 to 1. Speed goes to Pac, ring intellence goes to Hoya, power goes overwhelmingly to Hoya, ring generalship goes to Hoya, defence goes to Hoya, overall boxing skills goes to Hoya, chin goes to Hoya, and Mayweather Sr. goes to Hoya. :-(

    Forbes is a better boxer.

Pac is a great fighter but not exactly a great boxer. What no one understands is that power often does not come up that high in weight as you are hitting bigger men. Oscar's chin is one of the best in boxing and his defence is incredible. The damage to Oscar's eye was from an uppercut, a punch Pac is not famous for.

The fight is a joke. Nothing against Pacman, win or lose, he is still a great fighter. DLH on the other hand is a piece of **** for accepting the fight.
