I don't have a problem with what country one is from. But it's obvious to see which fans are from British. They are the ones who vastly overrate Calzaghe, Hatton, Woods, and Kessler. I mean the way they talk, they make it sound like they are ATG's.

I mean you can read it all the time about how Calzaghe would beat up on Toney at his prime. LOL! Or how Kessler would rip Jermain Taylor or Pavlik a new one. They are so sure that this will happen. They are so delusional is what it is.

Do you really see the correlation of fighting styles between a crude, power punching slugger with a granite chin like Lacy had pre-Calzaghe, and a boxer with a great jab, footwork, handspeed, throws great combinations, good workrate, and a not so great chin like Chad Dawson?

:rofl I'm one of the guilty parties!
Perfectly reasonable thing to say at the time however and quite the logical thing as well.:bart
Woods has looked pretty good in recent years and NOBODY could've predicted such a lame showing as the one he gave on Sat night. But thats boxing for you. (He'd just come off a decent win over Gonzalez)
One thing I will say, I'll be far more wary using peoples age as a factor when predicting a fight and place greater emphasis on other factors such as inconsistancy and motivation.

Oh and Calzaghe ud 12 Hopkins. (8-4).

both are/were hype jobs, the same thing you accuse Calzaghe and Hatton of being.

Never said Calzaghe was a hype job he beats everyone at 168 and just about everyone at 175. Hopkins just matches up bad for him.

Hatton on the other hand is what he is, a very good fighter with a couple quality wins under his belt but when he faces some special champions like Cotto and Mayweather he will come up short. No shame in that.

Who can forget the thread asking how many rounds Hopkins would win and so many of these fans said Hopkins would be lucky to win one round?

The really sad part is that they are dead serious in this belief. They think Hopkins is some chump that beat nobody and has been lucky all this time or something.

    Kudos!
    :cheers

I never thought so. To me, Woods was always the same guy who was schooled by Jones, despite claims to the contrary by others in recent years.

And NO, you can only rim the Queen.
