    Great questions.

Golovkin fans have been naming fighters below his weight class that have apparently been ducking him for years!

Thats generally the criteria for a GGG opponent

Lara would be his best win by a country mile but he's content feasting on C levellers like Dominic Wade, time for GiGi to put up or shut up.

They don't seem to understand that most people don't think he's "ducking" Lara. Most people just want Golovkin to fight Lara. Because as you say it would likely be his best or second best victory...

They have both long complained about being avoided. They have both long claimed to have chased every big fight around their division possible. They have both been among the best couple fighters in their division for years now. And they reside just a division apart being at 154 and 160.

I'm not sure how or why Golovkin fans act like it's some outlandish fight to want to see or to think is worthy of happening. Very puzzling, honestly.

Because it's easier for Luis DeCubas Jr to talk on twitter than it is for Lara to actually get in the ring with GGG.
Really convenient timing when they waited until after the IBF had ordered up Wade as mandatory to start talking again.:rofl

Because if promotional lines are going to be crossed, Jacobs is the superior opponent by about a factor of 100. So everyone knows Lara is just mentioned by haters who know that his negative style makes HBO even less likely to push for the fight.

Thus, Lara is a "safe" guy to push even though in an actual fight he'd pose less danger than Monroe.

Jacobs, being a legit top 5 guy at 160 might actually, through reasonable circumstance end up making the fight. Which is a fight that frankly should be made, and K2 and HBO should have and should be putting more effort into making.

And for the record, while I don't blame K2 for taking a mando once ordered... I absolutely think HBO should have told em to take that **** to Monaco and just licensed the broadcast and let the Prince and a handful of billionaires and other people with 7-figure+ casino accounts foot the bills because frankly my subscriber dollars could be spent on better fights.

I can admit your first statement about Jacobs is correct if you can admit your next statement about Monroe posing a bigger risk is absolute garbage.

The problem with that thought is... Lara and Jacobs are not the same person. Talk is cheap but at least Lara has done that part for over the past year+. Jacobs hasn't.

It all comes down to the promotional/network war. So it's just not going to happen. But wait? Wade is with the rival promoter. Hmm...

So saying Lara is less than Monroe is probably going overboard but still. Compared to a real MW who has legit punching power and some boxing skill, he doesn't bring much was my point.

As far as Wade being a Haymon guy, I can only hope the political dynamic shifts a bit and we see some of his better fighters cross over in the future. According to HBO at least, they are willing to work with Haymon guys in certain circumstances or the right fights. As for Haymon, he doesn't say anything so who actually knows if it's him scuttling possible fights or the fighters themselves. My guess would be a mix of both.

Monroe has legit punching power with 6KOs from 19 wins?

Lara is twice as skilled as Monroe and hits much, much harder. GGGstans DKSAB
