Well then, however it may perceived as cowardly or otherwise, it was legal and Mayweather got away with it.

I respectfully disagree with your assessment of ethics and illegal/cheap shots. I do think that the illegal intentional head butt was a lot worse than the legal but cheap shots from Mayweather. I will concede however and call them equally disturbing. Mayweather just happened to be on the winning side, with Ortiz initiating the process.

You got Cortez and Ortiz confused there.

Reaching? Cortez called time in and told the fighters "let's go." Ortiz backed out with his hands down. That whole sequence, he never put his hands up. Ortiz fault, he has nobody to blame but himself.

I don't really think it looks like Floyd is coming in for a hug. His hands are up when Ortiz comes over.

I am surprised at all of the people praising this. As a long time follower of the sport, this is clearly one of the biggest disgraces that has been seen. It was legal but ewas extremely underhanded and as Emmanuel Steward called it, a suckerpunch. A black eye for boxing and a further tarnished legacy to Mayweather. It ruined what could have been a good fight and night for boxing.

It was a legit ko. May be Floyd acted outside the spirit of the rules. He was pissed at Ortiz s blatant headbutt and took some revenge.

It is the hurt business. Mayweather saw an opportunity and took it.

I dont think he would have done it if it wasnt for the butt. But its in the record books now, thats that. If they rematch Floyd just KO Victor without bending the rules

    Totally legal and Ortiz's fault.

    However....

Douchebag way to win by the king of douchebags, getting the win at all costs and anyway possible rather than act like a sportsman.

    Floyds a G....

    Gutter trash...

"Fraud Gayweather came in with hands down, to touch gloves, which he did, "

his gloves were up the whole time, which is why Floyd was able to crack Ortiz so quickly

sucker punch aside, this is a fight, blame Ortiz for not defending himself.

Mayweather is a ****ing digrace, he definately went to touch gloves and he mouths something to ortiz as if engaging him and then ortiz gets a cheapshot and ortiz looks to Cortez and while he does it mayweather goes for the knockdown, he is a complete and utter tool, and the real reason he doesnt want to fight the likes of a Pacqiao is becasue he wants fights he knows he can dictate and has a 100% chance of winning.
With Pacquiao he knows he doesnt dictate that fight at any stage and he will gets smashed up and humiliated, so he should drop his BS demands about money, blood tests etc and admit the real reason for delaying, he wants pacquiao to deteriorate and then take him on.
    ****ing fraud
