Having the RJJ blues since his recent KO loss? He'll be fine, people who've watched him in his prime remember how great he was. People like to point and bring out all the **** when a fighter is fallen. It should be expected, imagine if Mayweather was ko'd 4 consecutive times. All the haters would come out (more than now x10) the woodwork.

1 - Because this is not a job interview and I do not answer to you, nor anyone else. I am a respected poster for producing threads of value, you are a known troll for all of your ridiculous trolling, more of which to follow...

And that's the only answer I need to give, other than to re-state my position yet again:

Ward has slid down my rankings because has not built on his win over Kessler by fighting top comp, Froch has risen in my rankings because he just keeps adding to a resume which is growing ever more solid.

OH MY GOD, I THINK I JUST SURVIVED THROUGH...

    Um, about Q4:

Are you too stupid to realise that people can move down on a p4p list if others are gaining superior victories in the meantime, regardless of whether he is facing the best opposition available to him?

    Just saying....

    ward ranked 6

    froch not even top 21

    since then

    ward beats abraham and bika

froch beats abraham and johnson. (johnsons only half decent win at super-middleweight is v alan green. johnson has losses at supermid to kinawuka, sosa, ottke, branco, sheika, and vanderpool).

how does that close a minimum of 16 places up in someones p4p rankings?

The losses are so long ago they're irrelevant, so never mind that. Despite this, you're right to say he's only really beaten Green at 168. Still, being good enough to beat Green is enough to make you top 10 at 168, and he was unexposed at the weight so he doesn't have a clear ceiling before the Froch fight. That's enough to go a few places up a p4p list.

Mind you, IMO it isn't enough to be at number 6, when you consider that officially he has a recent defeat and a disputed win in his last recent contests. I assume his top 5 are (in no order) JMM, Pac, PBF, Donaire and Martinez. I'd certainly have Wlad, Ward, Hopkins and perhaps Bradley above Froch, so yeah, I agree he hasn't done enough to climb that high.

In short: It doesn't. I just objected to the way you put Q4.

ESB ELITE IMMORTAL HEADBANGER HAS JUST UNLEASHED AN IRREPRESSIBLE UNSTOPPABLE LEGENDARY STREAM OF NON-STOP AND ****ING ICE-COLD OWNAGE ON THE DISGRACEFUL DUCKER POPKINS WHO HAS NEVER AND WILL NEVER BE STRONG-ARMED INTO FILLING OUT A QUESTIONNAIRE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

POPKINS DID NOT IMMEDIATELY STAND TO ATTENTION AND ANSWER ALL OF THE QUESTIONS THAT YOU ORDERED HIM TO ANSWER???? POPKINS DID NOT KNUCKLE DOWN TO DO THE HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENT YOU GAVE HIM, WITH A STRICT DEADLINE??? POPKINS DID NOT DO EXACTLY WHAT YOU WANTED WHEN YOU WANTED???

OH MY GOD, THIS IS ATG DUCKAGE OF THE HIGHEST POSSIBLE CALIBRE!!!!!!!!!!!!

AND IT WILL CONTINUE TO BE SO FOREVERMORE, AS POP "DUCKIAO" KINS HAS A POLICY OF NEVER BEING ORDERED TO FILL OUT A QUESTIONNAIRE BY ANYONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

YOU HAVE QUESTIONED POPKINS'S CRITERIA FOR MAKING LISTS, AND SO FOR YOUR BENEFIT IS THIS EVIDENCE OF POPKINS'S COMPETENCE IN CREATING LISTS WHILE USING A STRICT AND SOLID CRITERIA:

the top 50 wins of the decade 1980-1989:

    http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=319351

the top 50 wins of the decade 1990-1999:

the top 50 wins of the decade 2000-2009:

    http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=233818

CAN YOU PRODUCE SIMILAR EVIDENCE OF YOUR OWN LIST-MAKING CREDENTIALS???

    ANY COMPARABLE LISTS WITH EXPLANATIONS???

ANY THREADS WHERE YOUR LISTS SHOW US YOUR BOXING KNOWLEDGE AND REASONING???

I, and the rest of ESB, are waiting for your examples of the skills you possess in this area which allow you to continually provide questionnaires for other posters to fill in justifying their lists.

Despite his professed apathy for Eubank, I knew that the WBO title-holder had garned some attention in Pensacola. While fooling around at home - showing me his shadow-boxing technique against one of his dogs, or slipping into a muscle-bound pose as he stood on top of the farm's 'R.J.'-initialled wrought-iron gate - Roy Jones would offer a reminder. 'Hey, look,' he laughed, 'this one is for Chris Eubank - you tell him this one's from me to him, you tell him I'm waitin', anytime an' anyplace he likes...'
Yet the threat offered by Jones was so convincing that it seemed unlikely Eubank would meet him. In contract to Hove's 'Simply the Best', Jones was 'ready to take on anyone. I'm ready for Chris Eubank, Nigel Benn or any other guy you care to mention. I'd really like to go back and fight over there. I was in London when I was eighteen years old - for the Benn-Watson fight - and I had a great time.'
    'What do you remember most?'
'Oh, man,' Jones enthused, 'I just fell in love with all them pretty horses.'
    'What?'
'Sure, those big police-horses ... boy, they're so pretty!'
'Gee, Roy,' I mummur with mock incredulity, 'that's strange.'
    'How come?'
'Well, it sounds like you were more interested in the "pretty horses" than in any girl you might have seen. Are you like James Toney, who thinks "all the men are fat and the women are ugly" over there?'
'Oh, no!' Roy Jones Jnr cackled, 'that's where you're wrong - I took plenty 'o notice. The girls there, man, they're beautiful. Outstandingly beautiful! See - that's just another reason for me to fight in London - pretty horses, even prettier women! What better reason could there be for another look, for another trip over the ocean?'

Steve Little was his mandatory but pulled out at the last minute and Danny Ray Perez was magically brought from WBC #26 to WBC #10 overnight, thanks to Mr King.

atberry did you not see the Chris Eubank article that was posted on this website like 2 days ago where he said he had no interest in fighting Roy Jones?

Eubank only wanted that fight in '97 because he had just lost 2 fights against Collins and was looking for ONE LAST BIG PAYDAY...AND THE ONLY FIGHTER THAT COULD GIVE THAT TO HIM WAS ROY JONES JR.

Roy Jones wanted Eubank for a long time but that fight never got made, in '97 Eubank called Jones out because he knew Jones wanted to fight him years ago. But Jones turned it down because what would the use of fighting a well past his prime Eubank in '97 suffering from back to back losses do for him?
