Watch the whole fight and especially watch out for the punches that bonecrusher got hit with. Now imagine how Wlad would´ve taken these shots.

Bonecrusher was on the skill level of Chisora. A fringe contender who later turned into a journeyman. Compare what punches Haye landed on Chisora and what punches he was able to land on Wlad. The level of opposition makes all the difference.

Now if an average "tall boxer" like Bonecrusher was able to easily tie down Tyson, how would Wlad not be able to do the same? The whole argument of "young Tyson can not be effectively clinched, he's too slick and fast" is a complete joke.

You;ll have to point out to me where that happens cause I can't see it. There's a couple of seconds where Smith throws his hands up to encourage Mike to come in and he doesn't but I don't see where Mike gets wobbled\stunned.

after a look at the first two minutes i see more boxing then the whole 12 round of clinching from Waldi.

Tyson was a real fighter and not so a clinch/wrestling scared Man like Wladimir Klitschko who must rob the Rules of Queensbury to defent his titel. look at 3.10min!! That´s are skills and not like the Mr. Octopus

At this time HW Boxing was real BOXING! HW-Boxing today is boring, death and irrelevant. Only Clincko fans find HW-Boxing interessting today.

The myth continues. The late 80s was by far the worst era of HW boxing. Tyson was a paper tiger. Never beat a single real fighter in their prime.

Show me a round where Wlad sits against the ropes while he is chinching somebody. Just one round???

Bonecrusher was constantly pushed back and beaten up. Wlad would be thrown around the place like he was against Sam Peter, only 100 times worse. He would not deal with even one of the shots Smith took in that fight.

Everytime you try defend the Klinchko and put down authentic greats you expose yourself as knowing NOTHING about boxing.

What did it help Bonecrusher, he still got outpointed easily. Can´t help myself, but i just think Wlad would not be able to yurvive the distance against someone with the skills of prime Tyson and i´m not even a Tyson fan. But the mixture of speed, power, offense and defense was something special. I would be blind to not get that.

Comparing Haye's success against Chisora to Wlad is a poor example. Chisora fights nothing like Wlad he comes straight at his opponents he will always be easier to hit. Better to use another tall boxer like Valuev as a comparison to Wlad. Haye never had the style to beat Wlad, see how Povetkin's style was much more suited than Haye's against Wlad. It's not just the level of opponent but the styles of the fighters.

I personally think Tyson could be clinched and clinched effectively against Wlad but that alone would not win the fight for Wlad like it did with Povetkin.

Tyson easily slipped great jabs from Holmes, Bruno, Thomas etc in his prime. He was very adept at slipping the jab, even in his loss to Douglas the fight was fought a lot at mid and close range because Tyson was able to get past the jab.

Wlad's jab alone will not be enough to beat Tyson. Wlad's clinching alone will not be enough to beat Tyson. Look at how easily Povetkin got inside on Wlad forcing all the clinching.

Wlad's lack of inside skills like Douglas, Holyfield and Lewis possess is what loses the fight for him. Nobody was ever able to totally subdue Tyson in his prime at some point you will have to lay the hurt on him and fight him, he was too good to ever be spoiled and smothered like Povetkin.

I'm not saying Tyson was ever close to losing to Bonecrusher. He dominated him, but let's be honest: he had trouble with the hugging, pushing and being leaned on. This wasn't a walk in the park for "young" Tyson.

Remember, that's what the Tyson fanboys always tell us. The mythical H2H "young Tyson" monster would easily knock out all "tall" fighters who try to hug him. Now let's imagine a 6"6 Wladopus grabs and leans all over 5"11 Tyson. Tyson would still "easily" knock out Wlad?

Please. When will the delusional Tyson fans finally give up this ridiculous idea.

And Wlad is a vastly superior fighter and specimen to Smith, 61-52-3 fights, 16 straight title wins, third all time. A champion at 24. No, he'd tie wee Mike up and unlike Smith outbox him.

So basically, what your trying to say is, Wladmir will have to resort to hugging Tyson for 12 rounds if he has any chance of surival?

And dont say he wont, because there is proof, that Wladmir has done this consistently against lesser fighters.

Tyson UDs a scared Wlad who is happy he saw the final bell (just like a lot of his fights)

All the factors point towards a Tyson victory

Wlad doesnt like pressure, he cant cope, he doesnt have the patience or coolness of a Lewis or Holyfield. Hence why he hugs.

    And hug Tyson he will.

Everyone has a plan until they get hit. Wlad wont even get hit. Dude fights like hes in survival mode anyway.

People keep bringing up the Smith fight, but most of you havent even watched it.

Smith didnt win a single second of any round. He threw one decent punch and that was in the last few seconds of the fight.

I for one said if in Germany Wlad would beat him, but with competent referee Tyson knocks him out every time or Wlad gets DQ loss...because there is something called excessive clinching and referee can stop that

Smith wouldn't have lost to Ross Purrity...or Lamon Brewster....or Corrie Sanders.
