To those who thing a 'prime' Tyson can't be hugged and tied down

Look, I watched the fight live. Maybe you guys weren't old enough or even born, but you can't change history. This **** doesn't jive with guys who saw this fight.

Tyson was one of the most ferocious boxers ever, he would have swarmed all over Wlad and KOed him easily within 5 rounds.

 

I saw it live also. Tyson and clinching is covered in the documentary with video and commentary if you want to ignore it that is fine. It exists and in several fights.

 

You cannot ignore the MENTAL mindsets when going into this fight. Everyone is looking at this fight from a physical perspective. To beat Tyson in his prime you had to make sure you did not FEAR him.

People are forgetting that Wlad was rattled by Haye's demeanor which was evident during his performance where both Haye and Wlad were hesistant to engage with each other.

Now was Wlad hesitant to engage that night because of Haye's KO record? Or because of some other intimidating factor?

Either way a prime Tyson is a million times more intimidating than Haye.

So if Wlad was hesitant with Haye I am assuming he would be even more hesitant with a prime Tyson who would then spark him inside the distance due to this. Rule no1: You can't be scared or hesitant when fighting a prime Tyson.

 

Look, you're fighting a losing battle. Tyson's style didn't allow him to clinch. He was always the one clinched. The video you offered up offers zero evidence. Wtf you never saw Mike before. To compare Wlad and Tyson's clinching makes me think that you're sick in the head.

Even when Mike came out of jail and couldn't fight anymore he never clinched and threw guys down or held their heads down and punched them. Tyson threw a hook which at times was an elbow, or would butt if a guy was clinching too much. He didn't do that every round for all 12 rounds.

 

of course he didn't he isn't tall enough like an Ali or Wlad to do that.
