    I'd give Pacquiao a **** load of credit if he beats even this version of DLH!

    Yes!

    But that won't happen . . . because Hoya is keen on getting a win even against a fighter 3 weight class below him before he retires. :deal :yep

    Tell that to the guy above.

    Do you guys know why in HW division, the much smaller man sometimes beat the much, much bigger man? Because the fights are allowed to happen.

    Just imagine you only had HW, MW, FW. I guarantee that there will be some FW's kicking the ass of the would be (but non-existant division) WW out there, simply because the fight is allowed to happen. In lower divisions were never shown fights between guys with big size difference, thats why its been imprinted into our heads that a LW cannot possibly beat a MW. Another division however that allows those weight gaps to happen shows us different.

    If they created a weight division at HW for each 10lb, ie:

    220 = HW
    230 = SHW
    240 = XSHW
    250 = XXSHW
    260 = XXXSHW

    HW's are not allowed to fight XSHW, build that up for 50 years and I guarantee in 50 years time people will think the same. A HW cannot possibly beat a SXHW, a 220lb cannot possibly beat a 240lb man. We know that to be untrue.

    A better pic would be Dempsey vs. Willard but I get your point. Unfortunately Valuev has zero skills while DLH is a future HOF who recently went 12 rounds (narrow SD loss) against Floyd Mayweather.

    ODLH aint no Valuev as Chagaev is no Pacman. And the size difference wont be as big once Oscar drains and Pac bulks up, certainly cant be any worse than Duran-Hagler.

    Provided Pac can take Oscars punches (very possible), and keep Oscar honest with his own shots, Pac will bring a pace that an older Oscar simply cannot keep up with. 12 intense rounds, Oscar may even crumble from exhaustion by the 11th.

    Psychopath, in response to puga_ni_nana, you got me quite confused there man. Originally you said if Pac beats DLH it would be scripted, and then you said it will never happen (Pac won't beat DLH) because DLH won't let it happen. So...my question is... what if it happens??? Will that mean Pac didn't stick to the plan?
    I'm wondering, are there really scripted fights in boxing, as in WWE style? Actually when Pac KOed Diaz I thought it was intentional to reach the 9th round because that was what Roach wanted and betted on (and maybe Pac too). I guess boxing can't live without betting, which I therefore can conclude, has a big hand in moulding fights.

    Well it's quite clear . . . I'm not expecting Pac to beat DLH under normal circumtances . . . if it happens it's scripted . . . and also I don't believe DLH is going to agree that to that kind of script . . . in short PAC is not going to win.

    What if It happens? I'm quiting watching boxing and posting here . . . that's how confident I' am that it won't happen. :yep

    I'm just being realistic . . . all fighters are bounded by physical limitations. That's what I believe in. :deal

    I see nothing wrong at DLH - Pac fight, both were great boxers! although it seems impossible for Pac to win, there's still a probability of pulling an upset though, just because of the fact that both are GREAT in their own way. and saying that this fight might be scripted, well I can't blame you man.. it's your belief. But don't count out a fighter yet 'coz there's much more important things for a fighter than money...

    .....it's their pride, dignity and honor.

    Hoya is past prime but not shot. However, if he looses to Pac I would have to admit he is quite shot and should retire immediately. This does not mean that I would take anything from Pac. He still achieved a great thing but it won't be like he beat a prime Hoya or anything. That's why this fight is stupid. Because Hoya's gonna win and everyone will say he beat a little guy. If Hoya looses everyone will say he's shot. Outside of the money this is really pointless. I never thought I would say I'd never want to see a Pac fight or a Hoya fight but I'm gonna skip this one.
