To those who watched Parker-Ruiz, who really won the fight?

    Ruiz should be undefeated.

I had Parker up one round, a draw could have been reasonable - it was an extremely close fight. By the 5th round and the way Ruiz was looking at that point it seemed like it was a competitive fight where Ruiz had the upper hand and I expected Ruiz to win, but Ruiz either faded or Parker worked him out - either way Parker came in strong in the second half and managed to edge Ruiz out.

Almost all of the rounds, whoever looked stronger were not shutting the other guy out so it wasn't easy to score and I feel a lot of people had decided the winner by the first half and didn't really take into account how much the flow changed.

For it to have been a robbery it would have had to have been clear Ruiz won, if Ruiz HAD got the win I would be saying the exact same thing albeit at least putting in my 2c that I thought Parker had JUST nudged it.

Fwiw the compubox stats backed up what I thought I saw

    Parker just nudged it

because Ruiz was unable to do enough to take it off him. Close - but not enough.

I had Parker by a hair.

The way I remember it, Parker initially tried to go toe-to-toe and was getting beat up. So Parker switched to outside boxing and managed to pull it off.

Ruiz didn't have to take it off him as the belt was up for grabs, Parker wasn't the holder.

I had it close. Ruiz rattled off the first 4 or 5 rounds from memory. Parker found his groove at that stage. I think I scored it a draw or 1 round win to Parker at the time.

I had Parker winning a close fight, ive watched it a few times. Ruiz has the faster hands and got the better of the exchanges when Parker chose to trade but he only fought in spurts and Parker boxed well from the outside.
Have a look at their faces after the fight,Ruiz is bruised whilst Parker looks untouched

I think Parker shaded it 7-5.

Parker’s stock has dropped dramatically recently but now we know why.

He’s been in with Joshua, Whyte and Ruiz. I believe he should be 2-1 in these fights, a bogus headbutt knockdown in whyte fight cost him the win.

Highway robbery. Parker is wildly overrated.

Always said he’d beat Whyte in a rematch. I think he genuinely thought the headbutt was a left hand and it made him more cautious. He looked very comfortable to this point.
Got legitimately dropped then nearly stopped Whyte. Think he wins the rematch handily.

Unfortunately he’s signed with Eddie now, after beating up Chisora soon I think he’ll be fed to Usyk or Hrgovic.

Come on.....ruiz is flavour of the month i get it. I was jumping up and down when he won last night.

But the Parker fight was very close, and it could have went either way. Be real

I definitely felt Ruiz took it but not a controversial one in my eyes.

It was a legitimately tight fight, nip n tuck rounds. I had Ruiz winning by one round. But VERY close fight.
