And I believe they’re all very close in skills.

Usyk, Crawford, Inoue, Bivol and Beterbiev can match up against the best fighters in history.

I’ve never seen the top 5 this good since I started watching boxing (90’s). They all have ATG skills. I’m honored to have witnessed their careers and their quest for greatness. I going to miss these guys when they retire.

The 2000s, not 80s. The 2000s was loaded to the gills.

The 2000s had Mayweather, Pacquiao, Hopkins, Calzaghe and JMM.

I believe today’s top 5 is better overall.

Beterbiev isn’t top 5. He can’t even beat Bivol definitively and imo lost twice to him.

2000s had Pacquiao, Roy, Mayweather, Hopkins, Morales all 5 first ballot HOFers and A tier - ATGs.

2000’s Jones was very hit and miss. He had a couple years at the top before he got brutalized. Morales also didn’t have a great 2000s. Their best were in the 90’s.

Between Usyk, Crawford and Inoue, they’re undisputed in multiple divisions. While Bivol and Beterviev may not have ATG careers, they have ATG skills and they were both undisputed at one point or still is.

I don't agree here's some of the notable top 5 P4P fighters after the 1980s.

    1991

    1. Julio Cesar Chavez
    2. Pernell Whitaker
    3. Terry Norris
    4. Evander Holyfield
    5. Meldrick Taylor

    1995

    1. Pernell Whitaker
    2. RJJ
    3. Ricardo Lopez
    4. ODLH
    5. Felix Trinidad

    1997

    1. ODLH
    2. RJJ
    3. Felix Trinidad
    4. Pernell Whitaker
    5. Evander Holyfield

    1999

    1. RJJ
    2. Floyd Mayweather Jr
    3. Felix Trinidad
    4. ODLH
    5. Shane Mosley

    2001

    1. Shane Mosley
    2. Bernard Hopkins
    3. RJJ
    4. Marco Antonio Barrera
    5. Floyd Mayweather Jr

    2007

    1. Floyd Mayweather Jr
    2. Manny Pacquiao
    3. Juan Manuel Marquez
    4. Bernard Hopkins
    5. Joe Calzaghe

    2009

    1. Manny Pacquiao
    2. Floyd Mayweather Jr
    3. Shane Mosley
    4. Bernard Hopkins
    5. Juan Manuel Marquez

I would say it's the best since 2009 and that's about it.

While those are good lists, I don’t think any of the top 3 on those list are comparable to what we have today.

Both Usyk and Crawford are arguably top 20 all time, with an argument to be higher, and Inoue is not far behind. Regardless of the time period, I think Bivol and Beterbiev can match up against anyone in their surrounding divisions.

Morales beat Barrera and Pacquiao in the 2000s and didn’t really break out until the late 90s. Roy didn’t become undisputed until the 2000s either and wasn’t #1 until the 2000s either, iirc. Same with Hopkins. All of these accomplishments you’re cherry picking, the other guys have also done.

Kinda hard to say, someone like Marquez or De La Hoyas CV seems a good deal tougher than Inoue's or Buds so while they may have lost more, its hard to compare them... And no Stephen Fulton isn't as good as Pacquiao or Mosley...

I disagree I don't think Usyk or Crawford are top 20 of all time.

And fighters like Chavez, Whitaker, Mayweather, Pacquiao, RJJ, would rate above them IMO.

Beterbiev is 40, coming off knee surgeries. He is arguably above Bivol p4p. He would have smashed his face in prime for prime.

    This is a great era.

But at this point, there's nobody in todays top five who is greater than Roy, Pac or Floyd.

Can someone please educate me more on Julio Cesar Chavez (JCC)? I know he's a great fighter but sometimes I do think ppl might overrate him but educate me. What P4P fighters or other ATGs that he fought that may warrant him close to a top 20 p4p ranking?
