Does Kessler have trouble with awkward or fast fightrs? Calzaghe and Ward are both, Froch is only awkward. I personnaly think the speed is his worst ennemy, so he should win. The intangibles are on Froch side though so I can see both scenarios happening. I go for a Kessler win though. He's not supposed to lose this one.
Kessler have lost to 2 fighters that are very fast and very skilled in which Froch don't have any of that. Froch is way too 1 dimensional and too slow in which i could see Kessler dominating Froch to a decision or late tko.
That will always be remembered. Someone said to me earlier "If froch loses, I'm not gonna pull a boorody" So you know it's going down in the books LOL. :good
Fast fighters. Froch is awkward but he likes to brawl too much cause he's 1 dimensional and is too slow so i could see Kessler dominating Froch.
I just can't see Kessler wining this one. Not after his disaster in his last fight and the way he lacks self confidence almost as if he's given up. If Kessler does lose to Froch don't be surprised if he retires and doesn't even finish the tourney.
Scenario A: He lost confidence and doens't know what happened in the ward fight. Scenario B: He recognized what it was that beat him and the style that beat him. I think Scenario B is the most likely and feel that after watching froch film he is very confident on stopping froch. Kessler is gonna seem fast and sharp compared to froch and froch will walk into that straight right hand. Speed, style, gameplan and talent is what beat kessler. Him and his trainer are not dumb enough to not recognize that froch is not that type of challenge. Froch's size advantage will not be as great as in his previous match ups, in thier with a big SMW who is a proven puncher like himself.
But Froch has a longer jab, and in my opinion better jab. Kessler is faster, and his jab is sharp, but the particular style that he uses makes it a bad match up against Froch who will establish his jab early. Kessler will throw that right hand, but Froch will block or duck the majority of them because he'll keep Kessler at a distance that will make it relatively easy to see his punches coming. And considering Kessler is somewhat one dimensional, it won't be hard to predict what Kessler will be coming with. And if Kessler does manage to close the distance, he doesn't throw an overhand right shot that other fighters have had success with landing on Froch.
That's the thing, Froch may be relatively slow, and he may lack rhythmm, but he does have skill. You don't beat the quality of fighters he has without skill. His skill is very underrated.
Kesler is going to school Froch bad. Froch will be seeking to land bombs and Kessler is way too good for him technically. Please notice that Kessler was considered the favourite to win Super Six before the Ward fight - and now he is completely done? No way. Also remember the circumstances regarding Wards win. Cmon - it wasnt like Ward didnt use shitty tactics in that fight. Kessler got 3 bad cuts because of headbutts. Kessler is still the fundamentally sound fighter he has always been - and Froch is a very good stylistic matchup as well. No way in hell Kessler looses this one. He will most likely TKO Froch late imo. The viking warior will bounce back and look impressive and this board will be hyping him again. :rofl
Unless Kessler has become completely shot, I fully expect that come Saturday night Froch will be subjected to a most humbling one-sided domination. Kessler UD.
The problem is that kessler is not a fast opponent at least in terms of work rate and ring movement, only outcome I can see is froch tko.
Dirrell was able to time Froch with the jab in the first until Froch started turning it into an ugly but entertaining for me, fight. Kessler has one of the best jabs and may be able to box Froch's ears off but the problem is he can't adjust when it isn't going his way. Carl fights dirty but I don't expect him to do that in Denmark, Mikkel's backyard. This is a pick-em fight and one which my vcash is safe because I'm not betting:good.
This is all based on the calzaghe loss, when you're reputation is based on a clear loss to an overrated fighter something is up.
