Well, perhaps the reason people said that could be that two of the sports p4p top 5 fighters were in the division at the time (Hopkins and Calzaghe)... Wouldn't you say? I think both of them avoided him since he's young, doesn't have a following and is dangerous, but he still did not face them. The talk about him ducking people is a bit misfounded, I think. But that can't help the overrating he gets from some. He's not top five yet, no way that JMM and Wlad are behind him for starters! That's my main issue with him - the hype, not the person.

Beacause as a person, he looks to be a good, humble kid and definitely has p4p top five potential. All the talk about his personality being boring is childish. So just because you don't talk trash and disrespect your opponents - you're boring?

I expect him to handle Pascal. Jean's only chance is to overwhelm him and make it a brawl, or that Chad becomes lazy, overconfident and careless in there. Pascal has the power and the skill to penetrate Chad's guard like Johnson and Tarver occasionally did. He has a good over hand right and hit - and hurt - Diaconu with some meaty looking double uppercuts. This guy HAS offensive skills, make no mistake about it. He can hurt Chad if he's into range long enough and connacts. The thing is, I don't think he can get close to do it nearly enough. Chad's footwork and range will see him dance out of harms way more often than not, sometimes counter with lead lefts and make the swinging Pascal look foolish. He will pile up points with his jab and dictate the pace. Pascal swithes off in some rounds, especially when you box him. He's very hittable.

However, I give Pascal a much bigger shot than most on here and will accordingly give Chad credit and a boost in the ratings if he wins impressively. Remember how nobody gave Kotelnik a shot last weekend? Bear in mind that Pascal is a smaller underdog than Kotelnik. It's possible that Pascal hits harder than an old Tarver and Glen, and Pascal is younger. He has the home crowd behind him and won't give up without a fight (Froch, Diaconu). He's no Allan Green. I also think he can take Chad's power. At some points against Tarver he was against the ropes a bit too long. Tarver couldn't do anything. Perhaps Pascal could?

He's a live underdog and will be coming to fight. Don't count him out.

    Incidentally my prediction too! :D

Chad has more power than given credit for. The knock-outs will come if he really wants it. He cant help that Johnson is a freaking rock! Tarver is hard to hurt, likewise Adamek. I don't think he can stop Pascal, but he can definitely get his respect like Tarver did. An off-balance knockdown is likely I feel due to the increasingly desperate, bull-rushing Pascal and Chad's timing.

116-111 with Pascal getting knocked down once (balance), and with Dawson slightly hurt at one point. Chad's guard, while decent, isn't impregnable if you manage to get close.

It's gonna be a schooling or late stoppage. Pascal is about to be put in his place as an overrated former paperchamp B-,C+ fighter LOL. Dawson going up to pascal's crib to teach him a thing or two and best believe that pascal will get his money's worth. Just him going there should tell the ones who have called him a ducker that he knows he gots this.

Give Dawson a little credit if he wins...talent wise, Pascal is no less than a B fighter.
