Ducked the Corrie Sanders rematch - Let Vitali do it for him
Ducked the Ross Purrity rematch - Let Vitali do it for him

DUCKED David Haye - told Vitali to fight him instead.

Vitali vs Haye winner = true number 1, Wladimir is hunting the bums who will get him credit in America like Rahman and Arreola and ducking the true challengers.

Fail,he is slowly developing an excellent resume. It'a actually better than Vitali's altough Vitali is the better fighter.

Sanders as a fan, is an will always be unfinished buisness, but for the record wlad wanted a rematch, but it was not in the clause to have it right away, so sanders wanted other fights before wlad, one being lewis, but as we know Vitali retired him, that is what lead to the sander vitali showdown,,,,,But i wouldn't say vitali did his dirty work, it was universum trying to strong arm sanders so he avoided fighting under there banner cause to get the fight with wlad he had to except fighting under them.....Purity, no way do i fault wlad for that rematch, that was his 13 fight in less then a year, an 2nd fight in less then 30 days,,,,an he beat the guy ass every round but one, an it was not a knock out but just not able to throw a punch cause he was tired,,,,,,,Same as brewster, he didn't owe his fans a rematch, purity would of been the same result.......

Hay's wants wlad cause of his chin,,,,,the world knows that, well if he went threw the mandatory an proved him self then he would deserve the big brother claim, but he fought a faded barrett instead of taking a swing at top contender, an most are in europe, but he took a dog,,,,the only reason if i was the brothers i would give him this fight, is becuse he would lose before he gets to them, an one over-hype guy on the resume dosn't hurt.....
Hays ducked carl thompson, who's 40 years old,,,,ha ha ha ha ha

This thread is pathetic. Wlad defeated Rahman soundly and KOed him, it´s your problem if you found it boring. Wlad did good in taking a fight instead of just letting the event fall through, even if Rahman was not a strong opponent. He needs to be active and a fighting champion. Wlad would have fought 3 top 10 boxrec ranked fighters this year if Povetkin hadn´t been injured. That is an all too rare thing for a champion to do.

I have no idea what reasons the Klitschkos have for matching Vitali against Haye, although I could see how the harder chinned Vitali should eliminate Haye´s chances of a lucky punch somewhat more. Not that I have any disrespect for Haye or that I think a lucky punch is his only hope of winning. Regardless, I´m sure Wlad would face Haye. Wlad did indeed fight Samuel Peter, who at the time was thought to be very dangerous.

About the rematches Wlad didn´t do. What point was there in fighting a journeyman like Puritty again? Sanders fought Vitali because he got a title fight against him. Of course Sanders chose to face Vitali for the WBC belt instead of fighting Wlad. After this fight Sanders disappeared into obscurity and in the end was KOed by a nobody. No point in fighting him at that stage either. Wlad did indeed rematch Brewster though and handed him a bad beating.

Now you need to learn what a fraud is. It´s someone who pretends to be something they are not. Wlad is a boxer and a heavyweight champion who earned his #1 spot. If anyone is a fraud it would rather be Valuev, who has fought much lesser opposition and gotten questionable decisions, Ruiz, who constantly cheats, gets gift decisions and undeserved fights or Toney, who is a past it who´s been using steroids.

I agree with this even though I am no Klit hater. Don't forget that Manny Steward also said SHANNON BRIGGS was too dangerous for Wlad and that he should steer far away from him. Wladdy's fighting and old, shot Hasim Rahman and a green, fat and slow, plodder in Arreola (just watch).

Wladimir will not take a fight with a speedy, explosive puncher with decent skills. He took the Brewster rematch per Steward's advice at a time when Lamon was coming off a loss, a 17 month layoff, and an almost career ending eye injury. Brewster needed the payday just like Rahman did. Then, Wladdy goes and shows some real balls in the Peter and Ibragimov fights. Look what his much older brother did to Peter after a four year layoff.

Wald is carefully matched. People are drinking HBO's kool aid. His brother is much better in that he is not afraid to trade, almost never holds, and goes for the KO. I wish they would fight so Vitali could spark him out, but it will never happen.

Haye chose Vitali as his opponent. If Haye wanted to fight Wladimir surely Wladimir would have obliged him. Apparently little bro deferred to big brother who wants to get his fists on Haye first.

Agree on all counts, and would only expand on some things...

Yes, and Manny said about as much in an interview at the time.

...and Peter was green as well when he faced Wlad.

...and he was still medically suspended in the US at the time of the fight.

ViTKLiT would demolish him, and I don't even think he's better in respects to different skills. It's the determination and meanness he brings into the ring.
