Golly that made my ****ing day. I think I lost my voice in the process of screaming very loudly after the HW fights.

To be honest i think today just proved a few points that I've been fighting for wholeheartedly.

    What were your guy's reactions?

Strangely enough , i wasn't screaming or extremely excited as i was watching nog vs sylvia. i thought sylvia was doing a great job but at the same time , that fight was so typical of 99% of nog's fights... He gets beat up a lot , then submits or wins decisions...

But i was very impressed with Lesnar (even though he lost).
He just needs more experience that's all...but with a more solid sub defense , he has the potential to be a top 10 fighter imo.

I was very happy to finally see some skilled fighters finish off fighters that were used to using their size and strength to overpower opponents. I wish I would have won more than just some lousy v-cash for it all - but it was worth it.

It was great seeing Nog sink in that freaking choke on Sylvia! F'n brilliant comeback. However, Nog looked like crap while trying to trade with Sylvia. Sylvia's such a knob that he didn't even try to defend that choke.

I really would like to see a Noguiera/Couture match or even Noguiera/Mir. Noguiera/Mir would be one of the rare occasions where two juijutsu fighters matched up. Could be very interesting or very boring due to a stalemate.

I think Randy will return to defend against Nog. We'll see what happens in the coming months.

I could just see the look on Eric Paulson's face in Lesnar's corner. Here is Paulson one of the world's premiere foot lock specialists working the corner of a guy that just got caught with a basic kneebar.

Lesnar should keep that team, though. If he stays with them, he can become quite formidable.

 I wasn't excited during the fight either. It started off as a borefest that TS usually creates. I'm talking only about the parts where Mir and Nog pulled off their submissions in a very calm and a smooth way.

P.S I must admit the fact that not having to have to bleach my hair was a big part of it.

Early ufc are quite different. Tim sylvia has been proving the opposite for quite some time.

I was happy as hell to see Nog win. I was really pulling for him, and was worried when he was taking that beating in the first round.

Yeah, I thought it was heading to a 5 round decision to Sylvia.

Let's not pretend that Tim Sylvia isn't skilled just because we may not like him.

Being able to prevent getting taken down is a skill. That isn't just because he is big. Just because Sylvia's skills arent as "cool" as other fighters, doesnt mean he doesnt have one.

No one would say Wladimir Klitschko wins only because of his size, and that he has no skills.

Walking is also a skill. Let's not pretend like he's the most skillful fighters of all the ex hw champs. He at the bottom of that list.
