I'm waiting on Tony by KO for the double with Mayweather KO Ortiz, but I think I'd prefer Cotto won this all things considered.

Cotto is 20/1 to win by a technical decision. With Margo's eye, that's great value

Their first fight was fantastic. Definitely a fight of two halves. Took a lot out of both of them.

You're right, LP. I was thinking more in terms of the anticipation and how 'big' the fight was. Camacho wasn't the same after Rosario and he stalled this fight.

Margarito/Cotto was a much better fight too. So yeah, a level above.

I've been pleasantly surprised to find some folk actually giving Chavecito some credit on here. He seems to get totally slated on other forums to the point you'd think he was a modern day Primo Carnera. He's not the best fighter on the planet, but he's far from the worst and has actually improved quite a bit as a boxer over the years. It's a pity he doesn't seem to stay in shape between training camps, as if he did he'd have a decent shout at being one of the top middleweights over the next few years rather than probably fighting at 168lbs and 175lbs before it's all said and done.

Chavez is loved to bits on this forum.

He's not that good at all. Zbik fight could have went either way, and he's a very average fighter. What's so good about a Cruiserweight masquerading as a middleweight who can't clearly best Sebastian Zbik? I dont' dislike Junior, he's a hard working kid who's just trying to achieve something in the sport, but he's nothing to marvel at, and that's being generous.

I don't really rate him to be honest, he's good to watch and is far from the worst boxer iv'e seen but he's nothing special, he seems to have a size advantage over his opponents and without that I get the feeling he would get found out fairly quickly.

Not a big fan of Jr or the way he fights, he's nothing eyecatching or exceptional.

Once he eventually moves up & his physical advantages decrease so will his success. He wont have many (if any) more fights at 160 so I dont think the future is very bright.

Just a bit of fun....... Jr vs DeGale :think

TBH kids improved but he's not my sorta fighter, Looks massive compared to his opponents recently. Nothing wow's me about his work either.

Fair play to him though, he once was a kid pretending to be a boxer to many. Was involved in epic struggles with low level opposition. He's done well tbf to him.

    The questions!

How does Chavez do with the other Middleweights of the world? Geale, Sturm, Golovkin, Lee, Barker, Murray, Macklin? Who gives Jr the most trouble? Does he have any chance in hell at beating Martinez?

There have been talk of an all mexican showdown with Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez. How does that fight pan out?

With his increasing weight problem, can he make an impact at 168 against Kessler, Froch, the Dirrell's, and even Ward and Bute? Roach said a jump straight to Light Heavy is a possibility. How does he do against Cleverly, Shumenov, Cloud, even Pascal?
