I paid $50 for the card, but i still enjoyed it. Marg winning made me happy, had $180 on under 9.5 rounds paying 1.55, payed $279.

Marg looked great, but he doesnt start slow to me, he just starts every ****ing round slow!! I think Cintron beat him 3 of the 6 first minutes of each round.

Yeah MSTR, Cotto is a ****ing great boxer!! He is so calm and focused. And looks to be getting better each time which is great.

But come on mate? Marg didnt impress you at all? Even a little with his body attack?

You think Cotto vs Marg will be a good fight or Cotto easy?

 

Marg looked like he always does to be honest... I was impressed, but thought that Cintron looked absolutely woeful. I think that Cotto is just a level above Marg. You could see the big difference in skill between fights. Marg will be a tough opponent because of his work rate and toughness. The fact that he is sooo big at welter also. Cotto however is the better boxer in every area. And he is a smarter fighter now... he won't fight Marg's war of attrition. He will box and move, and fight at HIS pace. Cotto will go to work on the long body of Marg especially... I expect a late stoppage from Cotto, most likely due to an accumulation of hard body shots. Marg is too tall as a pressure fighter, and Cotto has the better handspeed, more powerful punches, tighter punches, and is more compact defensively due to his size. Marg is in for a very long and rough fight. I think Cotto will stop him for sure. Not taking anything away from Margarito either. Good fighter, but Cotto is all wrong for him. He would probably have more success against Mayweather to be honest, even though i believe he would still be outboxed by a wide margin.

 

Cotto's punches were just soooo powerful as well, even 1 minute into the fight, Gomez face was bright red from his jab. He even knocked him down with his jab.... Its basically a power punch at this stage. Probably the most under rated punch in his aresenal, and one of THE BEST jabs in boxing right now. I know Gomez is limited, but geez Cotto looked fantastic. I think as Cotto progresses more and more, he will rely more and more on his under rated boxing ability, and will get hit gradually less and less. Because of this, his chin will also become less and less of a factor. He is a noticeably better fighter then the version of him that fought at 140.

 

Cotto sure is looking like the complete package. His jabs have improved so much in his last 3 fights. It looks like he may become a switch hitter also, he changed his stance plenty and fired off leads from both hands.

Cotto vs Margarito will be one not to miss, ill back my boy Marg always.

Cotto is my fav fighter by some distance now.

Did anybody catch the Dawson/Johnson fight? I was very surprised to see many threads and posters claiming that johnson was robbed. I've heard from a reliable source that he thought Dawson edged it, but he almost got KO'd.

Anyone came to give me a rundown on how it unfolded?

 

I dont think Margarito has ever show a weekness to the body. Lets see if Cotto can handle someone a lot taller who will be able to take his best punches.

Yeah i watched it fom rd6 onwards. Apart from the near knock down in rd 10 or 11 i think Dawson sort of controlled most of the rds i saw.

Still i can't give a detailed view on the first 6rds.

I think people were cheering for Johnson because he was the underdog. It sometimes clouds your opinion when you look at it like that.

I was satisfied Dawson getting the victory
